PC Build Advice & Recommendations

I’m looking for some insight from the IT crowd regarding whether this configuration is actually any good. I just need a machine for basic home use—nothing particularly demanding or specialized.

I’d suggest mentioning what your total budget looks like and everything you need to fit into it—stuff like the PC build itself, a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, etc.

Then, the guys over on the subforum below can put together an optimal setup for you.👍

So, I had this specific setup suggested to me at a local shop, and I’m just trying to figure out if it actually holds any water or if I'm being taken for a ride here.

So, here’s a slightly more modern Intel setup using the LGA 1150 socket. Everything listed is available to order—except for the processor, so you might want to do a little extra digging to track that one down. Honestly, though, isn't this plenty for basic Microsoft Office work and web browsing? You've got integrated graphics built right into the CPU, 4GB of RAM, and a 1TB hard drive to boot.

Maybe they should just go with something cheaper 🤷
