PC Build around $750 budget?

Hello everyone!

I’m currently in the process of picking out a new desktop, so I have a few questions I'd like to run by you all.

To give some context:

• The machine will mainly be used for high-level amateur video editing and photo processing.
• Gaming would just be an occasional thing on the side.
• My budget for this should stay around $1667

While browsing some online deals, two specific builds caught my eye:

1. Avenio Skylake Pro Desktop featuring Intel Core i5 6500 3.20GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD + 240GB SSD, DVDRW, FreeDOS, and Intel HD Graphics 530
2. Avenio Skylake Desktop featuring Intel Core i5 6500 3.20GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, DVDRW DL, FreeDOS, and Intel HD Graphics 530

So, here is what I was wondering:

1. What’s the deal with the "Avenio" brand? Is it smarter to save a bit of money with them, or is it better to pay a premium for a more well-known name?
2. Since hardware isn't exactly my specialty, is it worth spending $300 extra just to ensure I get that 240GB SSD included?
3. Based on what I need to do, would you suggest a completely different setup?

Sorry for the long list of questions—it's just one of those things where you want to make sure you're making the right call before dropping a lot of cash.

Honestly, just skip those pre-built setups—they’re usually overpriced and poorly put together. You're way better off picking out individual parts to build something higher quality and more powerful, especially since you can get it assembled for free anyway, so the total cost stays basically the same.

Looks solid. That slightly beefier Radeon R9 380x is a nice touch. Everything's good, though I'm not sure if that power supply can actually handle it.

I wouldn't suggest that, since 😛
