Just walking out of one of the best shows I've ever attended—Peach Pit absolutely kills it. :2up: :2up: :2up: 🙏

ahem..
okay, maybe I’m just being totally ridiculous.. but did anyone else think that Peach Pit thing with that scruffy little one-man bandit on the mic sounded kind of Trail of Dead-ish?
[I mean, aside from that tiny resemblance—not that it didn't sound great. Actually, it was awesome. Even that "Sweet Home Alabama" bit wasn't... bad at all 🙂]

And as for Peach Pit themselves? Hands down the tightest band I've ever laid eyes on. Like, seriously. They play everything so...
insanely tight.

But man. If they could just, like, slow waaaaaaaay down just a tiny bit with all that... all that stuff they do. I mean, can they even play the same four bars twice in a row? Or were they born with that constant frantic energy, right along with their umbilical cord and whatever else? 🙂
I feel like if they actually started writing... you know... songs that aren't so damn elusive, then we'd really be in trouble.
Not saying that elusive vibe doesn't have its charm, but hey, I'm just a simple guy...

As part of the Ivica Baričević exhibition at the Swamp, we’re hosting one of the bands he helped build from the ground up—a group he was close with as both a friend and a collaborator. We're talking about old friends, the band Peach Pit. They'll be performing a set featuring new material alongside some of the older tracks originally released on Bar's labels that he held dear. This time, Peach Pit is hitting the stage as a trio (bass/drums/guitar), a lineup they've used to rework both old and new songs. This means you'll hear the new stuff live for the first time, and some of the classics won't have been played live in over a decade...

...They’re playing again at 11:15 at Aquarius over in the Vlach district for Record Store Day. Given how much they've been lagging lately—between the sound guy and the general organization—things might not actually kick off until closer to noon. Anyway, there's a post about the event itself further up, so just check that out.

Are they actually going to play Guten Morgen?

We're talking about old friends, the band Peach pie. They’re playing a show to debut new material while also revisiting some older tracks from the bar's releases that he loved. This time, Peach pie is performing in a new/old trio lineup (bass/drums/guitar), which they used to record both new and old stuff. This means you'll hear the new tracks for the first time, and some older ones might be heard live for the first time in over 10 years...

A year later, Peach pie is back at the Swamp for a gig for their buddy.
