I was wondering if anyone might consider revisiting the permanent ban I received from lonebadger6 for my trolling over in the COVID-19 policy subforum?
I know I was out of line back then, and honestly, I’d just really like to be a part of this community again.

lonebadger6 or anyone else out there, could I get an update on whether my complaint has actually been given any serious thought?

Look, let's get one thing straight—you didn't lose your permanent status just because you were messing around...
If you’re going to file an appeal or a formal request, you'll probably have much better luck if you actually stick to the facts of what really went down...

If you're planning to file an appeal or a formal request, your chances of actually being heard go up significantly if you stick strictly to what actually went down.

Alright, thanks for stepping in, lonebadger6.
What’s the best way to handle an appeal to get my ban lifted? Is it enough to just say I promise to watch what I write from now on?
As far as I can tell, I lost my perm status because of this: Reason: relentless trolling regarding the COVID-19 policy. 100 points.

100 points is basically just a one-day ban, though you actually got hit because you used a burner account to post that nonsense right after getting red-carded...

Fair enough, I probably did log into some other profile back then, but I don't see that happening again. To be honest, I can't even remember the username of that account, and it’s likely been banned already too.
I know things were getting pretty chaotic with all those wild posts popping up due to the COVID-19 policy, and I imagine you guys had your hands full dealing with the fallout.
Is this enough to get a permanent ban appealed? If there's anything I need to do to make things right, just let me know. Thanks.

I think I might have sent you a post that came off as a bit offensive... my bad, I really am sorry.

Look, things were pretty chaotic back then—I get it—so I’m generally on board with you ditching the perm, though strictly speaking, I can't just call the shots myself even if I was technically the one who gave it to you... I'll probably head over to the fashion sub to suggest we strip the perm, but honestly, it really comes down to what we decide together.

That said, strictly following the rules, I can’t just make that call unilaterally. Even though I’m technically the one who granted it, I’ll have to bring it up on the forum moderator board for a vote. It really comes down to what we collectively decide together.

Alright, thanks a lot for being reasonable about this. Whatever the rest of the team decides, I'll roll with it.

So, we’ve agreed to lift the permanent ban, and there won't be any partial restrictions either, though as always in these kinds of situations, we expect a heightened level of decorum and caution from the forum users (your) side...
