We need to get rid of rowdyhawk10 immediately. He’s just deleting posts whenever he feels like it, mostly because he can't handle anyone actually providing solid criticism regarding Islam.

The latest situation:
velvetranger5 asked where the Jews in Medina were during Muhammad's time, and my answer was:

Back then, three Jewish tribes lived in Yathrib (which was later renamed Medina); the Banu Nadir, the Banu Quariza, and the Banu Qainuga.
In 624, the Banu Nadir and Banu Qainuga tribes were forced to relocate to the Khaybar oasis.
In 627, when the Meccans (specifically the Quraysh tribe, which included Muhammad) laid siege to Medina, the Banu Quariza refused to help defend the city during the "Battle of the Trench." Following the battle, Muslims massacred all the men, and over 1,000 women and children were sold into slavery.

Then Jeffrey Sanchez7 chimed in with something like... "The Jews stabbed him (Muhammad) in the back, and now I'm being called a liar." $33 within the thread

And that's because the post sat there all day!!! So my response was:

I mean... they stabbed him in the back? How exactly did that "stabbing" look?

The issue was actually quite different. When Muhammad arrived in Medina in 622, he had nothing, so he and his followers survived by raiding caravans. The Banu Quariza clearly wasn't having any part of that, so they didn't feel bound by the Constitution of Medina.

Jeffrey Sanchez7,
I’d suggest sticking to actual historical facts.
If anyone else had used the word "Jew" in that context, rowdyhawk10 would have banned them for life.
Am I really $33 starting a whole new thread just for this little argument? 🤣 😁

Well, rowdyhawk10 went ahead and deleted everything right then!
Why? Because once Muslims run out of arguments, rowdyhawk10 steps in to scrub the evidence. It's been happening constantly over the last few weeks.
Muslims have already driven all the Jews out of the Religion sub-forum, and honestly, they were some of the best debaters we had.

rowdyhawk10 needs to be removed ASAP.

Look, I’m not saying the mod is bad—not at all—but it feels like they're being way too lenient with Muslims and basically tailoring everything to favor them. For me, personally? It's just a bit too much. I'm definitely more on the ultra-conservative side of things.

Honestly, you guys are getting seriously tedious with all these constant demands about shift changes.

Seriously—just go find a girlfriend or a boyfriend, go out for a run, or maybe just call some friends over for a coffee or a beer... I honestly can't wrap my head around what YOUR actual problem is!? 🤔

Honestly, I’d just leave you out in the sun for seven days straight if I could. 😠

That is a malicious falsehood and a total fabrication. The Jews left the sub-forum because of their own internal conflicts—specifically a nasty disagreement with a user named unknown—and actually, many people including myself have been calling for them to return. We’ve reached out through private messages and publicly quite often, much like here. Personally, I would certainly love to see them come back; even though we had some heated debates in the past, people mature and ought to forgive one another... if only for the sake of peace and better understanding, let alone mutual love and coexistence, which is what God calls all believers to practice. I actually stay in touch with some of them via phone. I especially think my dear friend unknown is a wonderful person. So, your claim simply doesn't hold water. 👎

I would appreciate it if one of them would step forward and debunk these insinuations of yours. 😢

Look, man, I don't think you even know what you want in your own thread, which you started yourself. Initially, you opened this topic regarding holy scriptures in general (the previous title was something like "Torah-Septuagint-Vulgate-Luther Bible... all the way to the Quran") and the introductory post is here. Then, you expressed in this post a desire to focus strictly on the authenticity of the Quran, just to narrow the scope—since things were getting too broad after Steven Clark jumped in with his analyses of the Bible. I respected your wish and asked you here if you wanted me to change the thread title (I sent you a DM about it, too). You agreed here that I should update the title, so I changed it to "Is the Quran True and Authentic?", which you approved (you confirmed this via private message). So, as it stands, this thread is specifically about the Quran (for instance, how it was recorded and preserved, whether it underwent changes, its level of authenticity, etc.). But then... the discussion drifted off-topic with this post from velvetranger52, which was off-topic because he was asking "what is the Constitution of Medina." In responding to him, you steered the conversation away from the core subject (which was the authenticity of the Quran—your own rule), and began discussing historical events that have nothing to do with the primary topic. I only deleted the off-topic posts because they didn't belong here; I haven't handed out any warnings, even though the conversation veered off course. Velvetranger52 pulled it off-topic with his question, and then you all followed suit by discussing the Constitution of Medina, the persecution of Jews, and other matters outside the scope of how the Quran was written, canonized, and preserved. Should we really let threads just wander aimlessly like that? I ask you. 🙄

So, I would say your protest is entirely groundless and unjustified. ☕

Still, I suppose it’s fine that you started this petition, as it gives the other users a chance to weigh in. If a significant number of them aren't happy with my management, then honestly, it might be better if I stepped down. It's exhausting trying to please everyone. On one hand, some Muslims (plus Enky, who seems just as unsure of what they want as you are) accuse me of being too strict with Muslims—while on the other hand, you and Chris Edwards claim I'm being too lenient and that I am "biased," to quote you.

If I were running the show, some of the Muslims would likely be satisfied enough to end their boycott of this forum. I just hope that whoever takes over doesn't let people start posting nonsense like: "a Muslim woman who marries a Catholic is no longer Muslim" or claiming that in the 21st century, it is somehow religiously justified "to kill gays..." which, frankly, is pure hate speech. This forum really needs to deal with that once and for all to ensure civilized progress and stop such evil. Additionally, those non-Muslims who aren't fans of my style will finally get a break from my supposed "imposition of Islam". 🙄

I won't be commenting further on this thread, though I suppose anyone interested in my replacement should feel free to reach out. 👋

@ rowdyhawk10

Look, we aren't brothers, so let's not get insulting here. 😠
Just give me back the posts that actually make sense and stay on topic without being rude.
...And quit trying to get philosophical with me; you won't shut me up that easily.

No, I won't be restoring them because they were off-topic. 🙂
You started this thread yourself and set its direction; your comments were off-topic within your own discussion,
which you initiated and steered exactly how you chose—so, I suppose I won't be bringing them back. 🤷
At this point, I think I'll step away and let the other users weigh in; I genuinely care about their input. Best, 👋

If you think you're talking about me, you clearly aren't paying attention. I’m not accusing you of being biased toward some specific position; I’m saying you’re running two different sets of standards—one for your own views and another for everyone else's. You're just biased toward yourself, if that's how you want to put it.

Here you go, right below:

So, you declare your opinion to be the absolute truth, and then suddenly, any opposing view—valid or not—isn't allowed to be heard. Typical.

Since you brought it up, let's keep this moving:

It’s not necessarily about changing shifts, but we definitely need to clean this mess up. To start with, if you actually answered my question... ☕

When people leave the forum, it's a failure on the part of the moderators to maintain order within their sub-forum.
Because if you had done your jobs effectively, these conflicts wouldn't have happened in the first place.

First off, I don't think rowdyhawk10 is being malicious, nor am I saying he’s completely incompetent. Secondly—and I wonder how many people here have actually noticed this rule—petitions like this usually just get ignored on this forum anyway. So, I have zero interest in voting to replace rowdyhawk10, and even if I did want to, a vote like that wouldn't carry any weight regardless.

But, if he needs a little more objectivity when it comes to moderating? Yeah, he definitely needs that.

It would carry weight, because he explicitly stated he'll step down from moderating if too many
people complain about him.
Personally, I have nothing to complain about—I haven't seen any signs of bias, and I think
rowdyhawk10 is relatively objective...
It stands to reason that he might discuss Islam more than someone like Nicole James, for instance, if his knowledge on the subject is deeper.
He should stay—if nothing else, just to maintain some kind of balance....

I hold my brother rowdyhawk10 pretty close to my heart, but if I’m being honest, I don't think he's quite ready for the moderator seat just yet. Lately, his behavior hasn't been sitting right with me.
I’ve heard that exact same sentiment echoed by at least three other regulars here—people with over a thousand posts under their belts and more than three years of seniority on this board.

Muslims have already driven all the Jews out of the Religion sub-forum, and honestly, they were some of the best debaters we had.

rowdyhawk10 needs to be removed ASAP.

coastalbison6, I mentioned you $33 because the moderation and the setup here on Forum.hr is starting to look more like a paid media campaign than a democratic forum. The fact that that part was deleted only confirms my theory.

Personally, I'm all for a forum without rules. If someone is an asshole, let them show it; there's no reason to delete anything unless they're spamming or repeating themselves like a broken record (like you 😁).

As for that slur, to me, it's a degrading term, very colloquial. If I used it, then I apologize to the Jews, because I respect many of them deeply, contrary to the old view that they should all be killed.

coastalbison6, so does that mean the fee is higher?

Yeah, and you can really see how many people gave up on this place because of you—including everyone you banned just out of pure spite. You've basically turned the Religion forum into a total mess thanks to your one-track mind.

Take a look in the mirror and admit you're biased, irresponsible, and honestly, just incompetent. If you have any backbone at all, maybe find the courage to step down, since your colleagues clearly don't have the guts to ban you themselves.

As for me, I've decided I'm done showing up to the Religion section while you're playing sheriff.

Look, even if it feels different to some people, this forum isn't some democratic media outlet. It’s an autocratic platform owned by private interests.

If you're looking for a place without that autocratic vibe, maybe just switch over to news sites.

Personally, I'm all for a forum with zero rules—if someone's being an absolute jerk, let them show it. The only reason to delete anything should be spam or if someone keeps repeating themselves like a broken record (kind of like you, 😁).

So, yeah... Usenet groups. If someone's being annoying, you just ignore them and move on.
Just a heads-up though—even Usenet has its moderators. 😉

I didn't even see what rowdyhawk10 deleted; that's his job. If you were actually aiming to be original—which I certainly hope you were—you should have started a new thread regarding the Constitution of Medina, and maybe our esteemed moderator could lend us some guidance.
I’m not calling for any of the moderators from the Religion section to be replaced, especially not rowdyhawk10, who honestly shows the most understanding toward everyone across the board. Granted, he did hand me a modest 500 red warning points just to keep things civil between us. It's up to us to speak our minds freely, and it's up to them to keep us in line. 🍿

Look, we aren't brothers, so let's not get insulting here. 😠
Just give me back the posts that actually make sense and stay on topic without being rude.
...And quit trying to get philosophical with me; you won't shut me up that easily.

They aren't offensive, but those posts are off-topic in a discussion about the Quran, which I think you realize.
I suppose I've gone through the trouble of moving four controversial posts to a thread where they actually belong.
The thread by unknown: The Life and Works of Prophet Muhammad. I assume that meets your requirements?
In a thread like that, discussing things like the Constitution of Medina or the persecution of Jews isn't off-topic at all. It doesn't bother me one bit.
You seem unnecessarily frustrated... perhaps try looking at it from our perspective; it gets tedious having to constantly move things around. OK? 🙂

You asked about the Jews in Medina and the Constitution of Medina, and I gave you a perfectly fair answer.
...that's just sad. What does that even have to do with being "original"? 😕
