I am dealing with significant cervical spine issues; the pain is becoming increasingly frequent, intense, and debilitating. I recently decided to try Pilates, and remarkably, after just a single session, the headaches I had been suffering from for about ten days vanished. I would like to hear from those who have practiced Pilates long-term and deal with similar spinal or vertebral issues (or, God willing, used to), specifically regarding your experiences. What happened to your spine, and what is your current status?
I ask because I read somewhere that the man who "invented" Pilates swore that consistent practice eventually realigns the spine to its proper state. To all the Pilates instructors out there: you are more than welcome to weigh in on this.🧐

I tried Pilates once, and my experience was basically the polar opposite.
I’ve got this chronic neck issue from a bad car accident, and instead of helping, Pilates just made everything feel worse.
I was going to this high-end studio where they capped it at five people on reformers, maybe two or three per machine. So yeah, the instructor was right there watching our every move...
I stuck with it for a full year, praying I'd actually see some progress.
But nope. My body didn't tone up one bit, and honestly, my neck hurt five times worse than when I wasn't even working out...

Good luck, though. Hope it works better for you!

I was scrolling through some Facebook groups for spinal health and saw those Bruner exercises... apparently they actually work? Haven't tried them myself yet. Anyone here actually used them? What's the verdict?
