College is absolutely eating up my life right now. I’m struggling to find any kind of balance—trying to study, trying to actually have a life, and trying not to feel like a total wreck. Lately, I've been seriously considering switching to polyphasic sleep.
I know it’s easier said than done, though. Has anyone here actually pulled it off? Or even just given it a shot?

My biggest headache is figuring out a schedule. Since I spend so much time on campus, it’s almost impossible to plan naps or rest periods, especially on those brutal days when I have four or five hours of back-to-back lectures.

I also know there’s an adjustment period where your body has to catch up. I’ve heard it gets pretty rough—like, people basically turn into zombies for a while. 😁 So, I’m stuck: should I try this now while classes are in full swing, or wait until summer break when things finally slow down?

Thanks, and sorry if I posted this in the wrong subforum. 🙂

Does anyone know if there is any literature available regarding polyphasic sleep patterns?

Look, I don't care what excuse you use—forcing yourself to skip sleep is 100% counterproductive 👍

And please, stop buying into those myths about how Tesla or Napoleon lived—especially Tesla! Let’s be real, he wouldn't have been half as successful if he wasn't out there working like a maniac 24/7

It’s actually pretty simple: when you’re tired, just go to bed! If you can swing it, just sleep until you're satisfied—whether that's 5, 6, or a solid 8 hours a day
