I’m trying to breathe some life back into this PDF because, let’s be honest, it was basically a corpse for the last six months—completely pointless and dead in the water. It’s finally showing signs of life again now that I’ve started tracking the stats and color-coding the wins and losses. I’m hoping the engagement picks up, but we have to stay on a specific track to make this actually work.
Of course, if we want this to be anything more than a chaotic mess, we need some ground rules for posting picks, so here is how we are going to play it.
1. Any picks posted WITHOUT an analysis WILL BE DELETED immediately. And I’m not talking about two lazy, stretched-out sentences just so you can say you wrote something. You need to include actual basic info on what caught your eye about the matchup and give people a reason to actually follow your lead. If nobody finds value in copying your pick, then why are we even doing this? Seriously, keep this in mind: before you hit post, ask yourself if you actually have enough insight to write something worth reading.
2. We are ditching picks from "soft books" or those with tiny limits.
Regarding domestic books, we are looking at San Francisco, the Lottery, UPS, and maybe Germany if it’s a special case involving basketball or handball players. When you're calculating your ROI based on odds, remember to factor in the vig and taxes, so pay attention to which odds actually net you a profit.
As for offshore books, we are sticking to DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars Entertainment, Betway, and BetRivers. If I missed one that you think deserves a spot, feel free to speak up.
3. You need to post your pick at least 3 hours before tip-off. Like I said, the whole point is to give people enough time to see it, place their bets, and make money. Occasionally, if something crazy happens right before a game—like a star player getting ruled out—you can post later, but I am begging you: try to get it in at least three hours early.
4. For every single pick, you must include your confidence level on a scale of 1-10.
