Presentation tips?

So, I figured I’d kick off a thread about something that's been popping up everywhere lately—and honestly, it’s been a hot topic for a while now. I want to put everything in one spot: product demonstrations. You know, all those different kinds, whether they're hosted at someone's house or set up in a restaurant. I’m sure most of you have been invited to one of these at least once, so I really want to hear about your actual experiences with specific companies. Since I’ve sat through plenty of these myself—and even worked for a few outfits that run this kind of business model—I pretty much know how the whole machine works. Nowadays, there are tons of companies out there; some are actually decent, but from what I’ve seen, a lot of them lean a bit too close to being scammy. That’s why I’m asking you to please stick to what YOU personally experienced, rather than just repeating stuff you heard from someone else. Let's try not to generalize too much or go on a massive rant against the sales reps—at the end of the day, they're just doing their jobs to pay the bills. Tell me if you liked the presentation, what they promised you versus what actually showed up, and how the prices compared to other brands (and please, skip the "this isn't worth the money" comments—I'm not looking for that kind of negativity!). Also, let me know how you were invited and how you were treated... and definitely drop the name of the company.
Seriously though, let's not label every single company that does this as a scam or a nuisance, because they aren't all the same. If you can't think of a name off the top of your head, here’s a little refresher (Tupperware, Amway, Avon, Sherwin-Williams, Expedia, TripAdvisor, Pavletić, Walmart, Lineage Logistics, Tupperware...)
