Hey. This is regarding a user who used to go by "bosnjo." He’s been banned dozens of times—maybe 50, I lost track—but he keeps coming back just to spam his pathetic forum and push some radical religious propaganda while insulting me and everyone else.

I mostly stick to one specific thread on this site and rarely wander elsewhere. It’s the ethnic map thread. Recently, some guy joined and started promoting that same garbage forum exactly how "bosnjo" used to. His posts are nothing but links to that site. What's worse is he keeps doing it even after I explicitly told him to stop. You can see the evidence right here, last two pages... The problematic user goes by cicko.

Please fix this. Get rid of these radicals who are only here to advertise their low-rent forum, spread their biased theories, and spit on Americans.

Regards,
Drew Allen2

Please get this sorted out. Deal with these radicals who are only here to advertise their trashy forum and spread their propaganda while attacking Americans...

The guy hasn't stopped advertising that banned user's forum. Are you giving him a free pass? If he can do it, why can't I promote my own sites too? It isn't fair to discriminate against others by letting this guy run ads for a banned user's platform.

I actually really dig his forum. It’s not cluttered with unnecessary noise—just clean, straightforward, and easy to navigate 😁

Linda Price5 said:I honestly think we need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture here, because I feel like some of you are getting a bit carried away with the technicalities and missing the forest for the trees! I was reading through what George Sanders37 was saying earlier—and don't get me wrong, he makes some incredibly valid points about the logistical hurdles—but I can't help but feel that we’re being way too pessimistic about how this is going to play out in the real world. It’s easy to sit here on the forum and dissect every little flaw, but when you actually look at how these large-scale American corporations operate, they have a way of pivoting that we often underestimate. If a major player like ExxonMobil decides to shift their strategy, they aren't just going to stumble through it; they have the infrastructure and the sheer willpower to make it work, even if the initial rollout looks messy. I know Scott Cruz4 is worried about the regulatory side of things, and believe me, I hear you—the legal red tape in the States can be absolutely suffocating sometimes—but history shows us that once the momentum builds, those hurdles tend to move out of the way. We shouldn't let a little bit of bureaucratic anxiety stop us from seeing the potential upside here. It’s going to be a bumpy ride, sure, but I truly believe that once the dust settles, we’re going to look back and realize this was a massive turning point for the industry. Let's try to stay optimistic, folks!

Here’s another one for you guys, complete with an ad attached!

I’m not quite sure if someone went through and cleared things out or if you sent me a direct link to that list of posts earlier—I can't seem to find it anywhere! Would you mind just sending me a link to the profile instead? That would be a huge help.

George Sanders37 said:Now, here’s someone who plays the game just a little bit more subtly.

I honestly can't believe we’re still having this exact same debate, but I guess that’s just how it goes sometimes! Looking at what Scott Cruz4 said earlier, I have to say I really feel for him—it’s such a frustrating position to be in when you’re trying to do the right thing and it feels like everyone is just pushing back for the sake of it. It reminds me of those times back in Chicago when you'd try to suggest a better way to handle things at work, only to have the whole office roll their eyes at you. And then there's George Sanders37, who seems to think everything is much simpler than it actually is. I mean, I get where he's coming from, I really do, but you can't just brush over the complexities of the situation like that! It’s not all black and white, and if we pretend it is, we aren't actually solving anything. We need to dig a little deeper than that. I was thinking about what Linda Price5 mentioned regarding the recent policy changes, and it really hit home for me. It’s that feeling of being caught in the middle of these massive institutional shifts that you just can't control. It's exhausting, isn't it? You want to contribute, you want to make an impact, but it feels like the system is designed to keep us spinning our wheels. Anyway, I'm curious to hear what the rest of you think about this—do you feel like we're actually making progress, or are we just shouting into the void here?

All set, thanks so much!

Drew Allen2 said:Honestly, this guy hasn’t stopped plugging the forum since that one user from the Midwest got banned, and I’m just sitting here wondering what the deal is. Are we really giving him a free pass to keep running these ads? Because if he gets the green light to promote the site like that, then I’d like to know why I can't have the same privilege to advertise the forum or even my own external sites too. It feels pretty one-sided to me—it doesn't seem fair to single people out and discriminate when one person is allowed to run promos for a banned user's stuff while everyone else is left out in the cold.

Man, there are over 200 posts in there! Maybe you could just drop the specific link so we can see what we're dealing with? It’s definitely not against the rules to mention other forums if it actually makes sense within the conversation, but I think we really need to take a much closer look at the details here. By the way, if anyone discovers that someone is just running a clone account, they should probably just send a private message to the moderators instead of airing all that dirty laundry in public—especially if the user didn't actually say those things themselves in an official post.

Scott Cruz4 said:I actually like his forum. No traffic, simple, easy to navigate... 😁

That doesn't matter at all. At the end of the day, the forum is stupid because it's just a tool for specific political propaganda.
If he can promote his, why can't I promote some idiot's site? This guy owns a forum and he's been banned here at least 40 times...

rustydrifter10 said:There are over 200 posts; maybe show us the link? It isn't against the rules to mention other forums if it fits the context. You should look closer. Also, if someone thinks a user is a clone, they should report it privately to the mods instead of airing it publicly unless the user said it themselves...

The link is the last one on that page. The page was forwarded too.

I didn't report that guy. This user "bosnjo" kept making new accounts after being kicked out dozens of times. I'm not sure if it's him, but I think so, since the posts are almost identical...

The real issue is that the maps this guy posts are garbage—he could easily just drop a URL for them, but he's intentionally advertising that specific forum.

I don't know about other threads. I mostly stick to that one. That's my main spot here. I've contributed plenty to that thread...

Haven't the moderators of this forum asked more than once?

We’ve asked you to report the posts rather than quoting them; someone from the mod team will always drop by eventually. You know how it goes—you spot a troll or a duplicate account after a post or two, and instead of ignoring it, you engage. Then, a day later, we're stuck cleaning up dozens of comments.

And you aren't just active on this specific thread, but let's not get sidetracked. That's beside the point here.

We’ve asked people to report posts instead of quoting them. Someone from the mod team will swing by the thread like always. You know—and it isn't just you—exactly who the trolls are after a post or two. Instead of ignoring them, people keep arguing, and then a day or two later, we're stuck deleting dozens of posts...

And you aren't just posting in that one thread, but we can argue about that later. It doesn't matter for this...

I would have sent you a DM, but my inbox is completely full. I can't send or receive anything else. :/

Anyway, yeah, I already said I don't just post in that one thread, though I basically live there. It's important to emphasize how much weight that topic carries. To some people, it's just another thread, but for me, it's everything...

Drew Allen2 said:I actually wanted to shoot you a private message about this, but my inbox on this site is completely maxed out—I can't send or receive anything else at the moment. :/

Just so you know, you can always clear out those old messages. If there’s anything in there you really want to keep, just save them to your computer before you hit delete. 🙂

Anyway, I think we can consider this complaint officially settled.
