I’m trying to figure out if messing with protein supplements is actually worth it or if it really helps with building muscle... I’ve heard there are basically two different ways to go about it—one type that supposedly burns fat and keeps your calorie intake in check, and another that’s strictly for packing on muscle. If anyone here has actually put these to the test, can you hit me up and let me know how both types work and what the deal is with using them? Also, it would be huge if you could tell me which brands are actually top-tier and easy to find in the US, and where I should even bother looking for both kinds. Honestly, though, am I tripping? Maybe those "fat burners" aren't even proteins at all, but just some random pills marketed that way. Thanks 🙂

Come on guys, help a brother out 😁

I think I managed to dig up some info online and heard a bit from a buddy too... I'm not entirely sure if they actually count as proteins, but they definitely seem to be low in fat.

If anyone has any firsthand experience with this, please let me know how to use both types and what the deal is. Also, it would be great if you could recommend which brands are the best and most easily found here in the States, and where I can pick them up (for both varieties). To be honest, I suspect those "fat burners" might not even be proteins, but just standard supplement pills designed for that purpose. Thanks!🙂

Come on, guys, give me some advice 😁

Look, if your goal is building muscle, here is how it works.
You should aim to get about 1 to 3 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight through your actual meals. If you aren't hitting those numbers via your diet, your muscles aren't going to grow much, and that is where a protein shake can be a helpful tool.
However, if you are just sipping on protein shakes without having a solid nutritional foundation, you won't see any results at all; they are strictly a supplement to a good diet.
And just so we are clear, proteins don't burn fat—there are entirely different supplements used for that.

There's actually a massive thread about this over on the other sub-forum...

Don't forget we have a search bar too, haha!
