Sorry if I'm being a total newbie here, but I just scrolled through the last 10 pages and couldn't find anything—though who knows, maybe I'm just blind 😛

So, is there actually a way to pull up all my old posts, like every single one of them instead of just digging through the most recent 20 or whatever? Basically, does the site even save my older stuff somewhere, or am I just out of luck?

Most of our recent threads have been moved over to a specific sub-forum. It’s one of those hidden areas that regular users like us can't actually see, so the post count doesn't reflect correctly there.
Because of that, you'll only see about 15 pages of posts when you check your profile.
The older stuff is basically tucked away where we can't reach it.

Man, that sucks, because I really want to be able to look back at EVERY single thing I've ever posted, from my very first one to my most recent! Is there any chance a moderator could be a total sweetheart and help me out with this?

I’m skeptical about that.
The only way you might find anything is if you're digging through those old PDFs you contributed to or hunting down archived threads.
Trying to pull it all together just by looking at a profile? Yeah, that’s going to get you absolutely nothing.

Look, irontiger29; you've got fewer than 2,000 posts under your belt, so I'm betting you don't exactly have a massive list of subscribe topics...

Go all the way down to the bottom of the screen to that little window where all the subforums are listed, then just scroll all the way back up until you hit "subscribe topic"...
So, those are all the threads you’ve been active in. Once you toggle that setting, it'll pull up the thread title in one column and the total post count right next to it. If you click on that number, a window pops up labeled "Who Posted." Just find your own name in that list and click the number sitting next to your handle... that'll pull up every single one of your posts within that specific thread. Simple enough, I guess...
Look, that method isn't exactly lightning-fast compared to just using an automated search engine tool that spits out maybe 300 posts at once. But honestly, if you aren't looking to get picky about things like specific subforums or certain date ranges... it’s probably the most effective way to go about it. It just works better when you don't care about filtering everything down...

Those are all the threads you've participated in. When you open that option, it'll show the thread title in one column and the number of posts in the next; click that number and the "Who has posted" window will open. Find yourself there and click the number next to your username, and it'll pull up every single one of your posts in that thread.

He was just looking for his old posts. I told him he could only see 15 pages through his profile. (15x20=300 posts)
My other suggestion was for him to go through the PDFs and manually scan the threads he's joined.
I just phrased it a bit differently.
The only thing I didn't mention was that "Who has posted" option.
Am I really that wrong?

And then there’s a third option... where I just end up getting screwed over by some mods...

Look, the only way you’d have 5,000 posts is if you were grinding them out in some private chat room that nobody else can see. On any decent forum, people don't just dump threads into the void where they're invisible... unless, of course, the content is nothing but pure spam or completely useless garbage.

Look, I’ll be honest with you... hunting through subforums like I'm searching for a needle in a haystack just to find one tiny bit of useful info is incredibly unreliable. It’s exhausting, really...

What happens if you just... completely blank on a subforum you used to post in? You know, one of those corners of the site where you spent way too much time back in the day, but now it’s just gone from your brain... It’s a weird feeling, honestly. Like walking into a room in your own house and realizing you have no idea why you went in there in the first place... anyway, I was just thinking about that.
And don't even get me started on how long it actually takes to go through this many pages... it’s honestly ridiculous...

You can save yourself a few hours of grinding just by clicking on the "subscribe topic" button... honestly, why wouldn't you? 😉
And maybe add a few more options like "Who became"...

No. I definitely didn't rack up 5K posts in chatrooms. If I had, I'm pretty sure my post count would be dropping by like 400 to 800 every single time I checked.
I also remember hearing from a head moderator once about how certain subforums handle those kinds of threads, but that was more of an off-topic conversation (the kind of stuff that doesn't count toward your total).
I'm assuming it's something like the moderator corner PDF or whatever.

Plus there's that "Who joined" option too.

Well... it isn't really that unreliable or taxing.
It just comes down to whether or not you actually have the patience for it, nothing more.
Besides, that subscribe topic feature hasn't done anything for me.
My list just shows "subscribed topics(0)."
I think you can also use the search function when you're looking at someone's profile; it should pull up all their threads and posts.
(I haven't actually tried it, but I'm guessing that works too.)
