Quick OB/GYN question

Look, I already know what the comments are going to say—"just go see a doctor"—but seriously...
Here’s the deal: I’ve got these spots on my inner labia (the labia minora, or whatever you call it) in two different places. They look like little abrasions, almost like when you scrape your skin and it forms that thin, crusty scab over, but it’s not an open wound. It’s hard to describe, but it stings and it’s definitely tender to the touch. There’s zero discharge or anything, so now I'm spiraling. Is this actually just a scratch, or am I looking at some kind of sore that signals something much bigger? Has anyone dealt with something similar?

Update: For context, I don't do penetrative sex, just oral and manual stuff.

It is entirely possible this is nothing more than a minor mechanical injury and nothing more, though one can never be certain. Look, if it heals up within a few days and the pain subsides, then we're in the clear. However, if it fails to mend and other symptoms begin to manifest... well, you already know how that goes 🙂

Look, that could turn out to be absolutely anything, or it might end up being nothing at all.

I don't want to cause unnecessary panic here, but we have to consider the possibility of an STI—things like herpes, early-stage syphilis, HPV, and so on.

Honestly, I think the most honest answer is the one where you just sit there, pause, and eventually stammer out a hesitant... "I don't know... I really just don't know."

Well, since you're the one doing the oral work, just tell the guy to be a little more gentle next time so you don't end up with sores. 😳 🙂 👍
