So, I grabbed this sketchy burger on a road tripβ€”middle of the night, we were drunk, starving, just some random roadside stand, you know how it goes πŸ™‚

Fast forward a day and a half, and suddenly I’m dealing with vomiting, diarrhea, and brutal stomach cramps. I spent six straight hours glued to the toilet before I finally passed out.

For the next two days, I stuck strictly to tea and saltines. I felt totally fineβ€”so fine, actually, that last night I didn't even think twice before knocking back a couple of glasses of Coca-Cola.

Well, I woke up this morning to more cramps and more throwing up 😒 😒 😒 Everything is right back to square one. Honestly, I can't deal with this anymore 😒

How much longer am I supposed to live on nothing but saltines? And how long does it actually take before I can try eating real food again?

As for booze or cigarettes, I probably shouldn't even ask... and don't even get me started on going out to crowded places full of people...

Oh, and I don't have a fever at all, which is at least one tiny silver lining πŸ™‚

Forget Coca-Cola, are you out of your mind? πŸ™‚

Cook some "prezgana" soup...
Eat some rusks.
Have some chocolate cereal or grits.
Make sure it’s neither too hot nor too cold.

Go grab some PepsiCo.

kids....drunk....

if you don't have a fever, it's probably not some serious poisoning... try sticking to light stuff like rice and crackers.. if things don't look better soon, get to a good doctor.. maybe some strong meds..πŸ‘

shouldn't I be avoiding milk altogether?

Grab some activated charcoal tablets, dissolve them in about half a cup of water, and knock it back. It soaks up all the toxinsβ€”worked for me a few times.

That really just comes down to how her stomach handles it...

I don't know, milk just doesn't really appeal to me right now... 😁

I mean, I know about Coca-Cola, damn it, I'm such a clueless idiot πŸ™‚ But, man, it’s been two whole days since that absolute hell started, and I honestly thought things were getting better, like I could actually...

I called my doctor, and the guy was super strictβ€”said absolutely NOTHING for now, and maybe after a few more days I can switch over to some plain boiled chicken, sparkling water, stuff like that...

And what kind of charcoal is that anyway? Honestly, I'm terrified to even put it in my body, seriously, I feel like my stomach is going to split right down the middle. And now, it looks like I have to go again πŸ™‚ Dammit 😠

So there you go, my whole weekend is totally trashed. No parties, no smoking, just stuck at home with some tea and watching Hell Orange on TV (at least I've got that :klap: )

restlesspanther1, once I figure out which poisoner in Boston (address) it is, I’ll drop the link here. For God's sake, do NOT go there, even if you're losing your mind!

In situations like this, activated charcoal is absolutely the GOLD STANDARD, regardless of what anyone else might try to claim...

Does any pharmacy actually stock this? And if they do, what's the damage going to be on my wallet?

You’ve got it... it helps with minor stomach bugs. It isn't exactly pricey either... how much would you even pay for a gram of activated charcoal?? Might be a little unpleasant to drink, though 😁

Look, regarding charcoal, it's basically just tabletsβ€”kind of like taking an aspirin, except they're black. Not even gross to take, honestly. Just dissolve them in water and knock it back. It can actually help since it soaks up all the toxins... that's why they call it activated 😁

Muter says he won't let me go grab that charcoal, claiming my doctor would probably tell me not to... 😒

So what, am I supposed to just sneak into a CVS or something? 😁

So, what, does it just come right back up after you throw up or something?

Don't mess around, could be Salmonella (you don't even need a fever for gastroenteritis). Is it really that hard to just hit up a doctor?😒

Hopefully it's nothing major, but seriously... don't joke about dehydrating.

God, I hope it's nothing serious, but seriously, don't play games and risk getting dehydrated.

Oh, it's definitely something, considering I'm still basically roommates with my toilet every thirty minutes.

I highly doubt it's salmonella; if it were, I wouldn't have felt this much better after two days... at least, from what I know.πŸ™‚

Salmonella incubation can take up to 72 hours, so it might not hit you right away. I’m just telling you what I think... go see a doctor and get an IV at least. You aren't gonna make up for all that fluid loss from puking and everything else by just sipping water...

Well, at least it's close to you. 😁 I was actually just over at the drugstore myself; I could have grabbed some for you, dammit. πŸ™‚

By the way, do you typically run a fever when dealing with Salmonella?

You aren't going to be able to drink enough fluids to make up for everything you're losing through vomiting or... well, other ways.

Ugh, well... things were actually fine for a day and a half, then the vomiting started😒 then I tried to fix myself with some Pepto-Bismol, then some Kool-Aid, and now I'm stuck with this.😒

Dee, please don't start scaring me about Salmonella right now😲
