How do I delete my profile?
I mean—make it disappear entirely.
I know I can't wipe my posts, but I want my profile gone for good. I’m ready to say goodbye to this damn forum and all its stubborn, mindless, and completely clueless users. How do I delete my account? For good?

Just hand over your password so someone can change your login and email, then say goodbye to the forum forever.☕

Haha, that’s not what I meant—I was talking more like when the admins of some random subreddit take over. Nah, I think I’ll just go with "deleting." If I just leave the account sitting there, girls are still going to be sliding into my DMs, replying to my posts, or just waiting around for a response that isn't coming—it's better this way so they know if they want to reach me, the door is officially closed. Plus, I really want "Donna Cooper98" to just... vanish.
If she isn't active at all—meaning nobody can touch her, bother her, mess with her, or whatever else 🤣—then she’s basically, well, R. I. P.

It’s actually written right there in the Terms of Service (if you scroll all the way to the bottom).

You can't just go around deleting things on a whim...

One really ought to have an incredibly, incredibly, incredibly compelling reason to do such a thing...

Otherwise, there isn't much else to say; simply forget about this forum and move on. If you find yourself getting worked up because someone keeps sending you messages, why not just update your signature to state that you're no longer active here? Or perhaps set up an auto-reply to handle those emails... it seems like a much more sensible approach, doesn't it?

Fair point, I completely missed the "not" part there.

It seems like they have a very solid reason for sticking to that policy. Most vBulletin admins I know will go ahead and delete an account if the user specifically asks them to. Honestly, I follow that same practice with my own site.
