What’s your experience been like with rapid weight loss? Right now, I’m doing this Herbalife thing where I just have two shakes a day and an apple. I’ve already dropped 17 pounds in a single week. I know, I know—it sounds totally unhealthy, but still...

You might end up looking as fit as MacGregor, but if you stick to those same eating habits once the Herbalife phase is over, you'll be lacking more than just fat and muscle—your bank account is going to take a hit too. 😁

Frank Alvarez8 said:Sure, you might end up looking fit like MacGregor, but if you stick to that same crappy diet after finishing the HL program, you're gonna be short on muscle and even shorter on cash.😁

Plus—you’ll probably get that itch to aggressively push your products on everyone you meet.

I actually came across your post over on Psychology Today
you mentioned you're only 17, right?
What do your parents think about you losing weight this fast?
Honestly, this meal plan is a total disaster, especially since you're still growing at your age!
If that wonderful guy MacGregor is the one who sold you on this, someone really needs to give him a piece of my mind!

So, I jumped into Herbalife because my cousin is a distributor, plus I saw some good things being said about it on here. I actually gave the Herbalife and Zone combo a shot, following that advice from MacGregor. And hey, don't go blaming him—that was totally on me. His posts just seemed legit, so I decided to try it. Honestly though, the Zone thing was way too much work for me, so I ended up just surviving on an apple a day.

I did try combining Herbalife with the Zone diet, just like MacGregor suggested. Honestly, don't go blaming him—that was my call, inspired by his posts which felt pretty grounded to me. To be fair, I couldn't stick to the Zone because it's way too complicated for me, so I ended up basically living on one apple a day.

And your cousin is probably a bit more intense about it, too!
It seems like that HL stuff really affects people's moods.

Who else on this forum actually has a good experience besides MacGregor and his many clones (and we all know they aren't different people, he's just repeating himself over and over)?
Plus, it's only "positive" for him because it's lining his pockets!
Judging by the photo, it didn't do much for his looks or staying fit.
And judging by how he writes on this forum, it certainly didn't help his intellect!
We can't really speak to the health side, but it doesn't look particularly healthy to me.

I have to ask again: what do your parents think about your diet?
I have a 17-year-old daughter, and if she were living on protein shakes and one single apple a day, it would be 🙂

So, people keep telling me I should slow down and actually eat a decent meal, but I’ve always been pretty stubborn about my goals...
Anyway, back when I was on this kick two years ago, I dropped 70 pounds in a single month. It all stayed off until this summer when I started taking Zyprexa.

😲
Good grief. Do you actually realize what you're doing to your body???

Good grief!!!!!! Is that even physically possible? And honestly, what's the rush? Are you entering some pageant or something? Just give yourself six months and take it steady. That way you won't end up packing all those pounds back on right before summer hits.

So, you're seventeen years old and you’re actually listening to some forum troll and a parent whose only priority is their bank account? Honestly, people like that—who brainwash kids just to line their own pockets—are the absolute worst. I truly hope whatever money you make from this leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. :2up:
If you actually care about getting leaner while staying physically healthy—and, more importantly, not wrecking your mental state in the process—do yourself a favor and talk to a doctor. Ask them for a nutritional plan that actually works for your body.

Start eating 6-7 times a day, load up on protein, and grab those healthy fats like walnuts, fish oil, and flaxseed oil. Stick to complex carbs like oatmeal, eat tons of veggies, and don't go overboard with the fruit. Just doing that will make a massive difference. If you throw in a gym routine three times a week, you’re going to see killer results and feel amazing about yourself.
I wish someone had pointed me toward this path when I was 17. 😢

It’s doable if you’re manic or riding speed (amphetamines)—basically just living on dopamine.

Are you kidding me right now?
Is there maybe a zero missing before or after that 2?

I mean, how are you even supposed to lose weight that fast... it's not like you gained all that weight overnight, it took actual sweat and hard work🙂 😁

Nice effort, but I have a feeling people aren't actually going to listen to you. 🙂
He’s probably looking for some magic powder or a pill to drop 20 pounds in two days; he isn't exactly looking to break a sweat... 🙂

And if you tell him he needs to start cooking his own meals, God forbid! 😂
