I'm looking to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 15 from its current 4 GB of RAM. I'm a bit stuck on which module will actually play nice with what's already inside... any advice on what specs I should be looking for? Right now, I've got a 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333 MHz, SO-DIMM 204-pin stick installed.
Thanks 🙂

Can I swap in some 1600 MHz DDR3 memory?

Works. The main thing is making sure it's DDR3 SODIMM.

Just double-check that you actually have an open slot for it. Also, it's better if you can find a stick from the same manufacturer that matches the specs as closely as possible, though it isn't a dealbreaker.

Just make sure you actually have an open slot available. It’s also a good idea to try and find a stick from the same manufacturer that matches the specs as closely as possible, though it isn't strictly mandatory...

Got it, thanks 👍
