What’s the deal with this expression? Can someone please break it down for me??

Since we’re already on the subject, I was wondering if someone could maybe explain what people actually mean when they say "cats in the cradle" 🙂

It's an exclamation similar to "son of a bitch," but used in a friendly way. You say it when someone does something silly or manages to dodge a crazy situation.
