[REC] Quarantined (2013)

Well, it looks like we’re getting the fourth installment of that successful Spanish horror series, >.
Word is, the plot will pick up from the events of the first film, and we'll see the journalist Rangel Vidal (Manuela Velasco) returning as the lead. I suppose we can only hope they managed to bring back some of the rest of the original cast, too.

Official synopsis:
Angela Vidal, the young television reporter who entered the building with the fireman, manages to make it out alive. But what the soldiers don’t know is that she carries the seed of the strange infection. She is to be taken to a provisional quarantine facility, a high-security installation where she will have to stay in isolation for several days. An old oil tanker, miles off shore and surrounded by water on all sides, has been especially equipped for the quarantine.

Is this some kind of sequel to that Spanish REC movie about the zombies??

Oh man, here we go again... just another one in a long line of disappointments. The first one was absolutely killer, but everything since then? Total garbage.

They’re overextending with these sequels—after an incredible first installment and a decent second, they should have just called it quits. The third one was absolute garbage.
Maybe this fourth one turns out alright, but I highly doubt it.

And this just seems to go on forever, doesn't it? 🤦

I mean, even though that third installment was an absolute train wreck, I’m still sitting here counting down the days until the fourth one drops! I am seriously hyped, mostly just praying it can pull it together and be decent—even if it doesn't quite hit the heights of the second part or match how legendary the first one was.

Anyway, I’m really trying not to get my hopes up too high because, let's face it, there's always that nagging fear it might stumble again, but honestly? I've got a gut feeling it won't be nearly as bad as that third disaster.
