Reddit is acting up.

Did someone mess with the forum settings?

It keeps telling me "searching has been disabled," and now nothing is showing up under my "participating threads" section either.

It’s not just some thing specific to Reddit—it’s happening everywhere..

I’m getting the exact same error message on my end.

Same here. I can't even follow the threads I'm actually interested in without it. Is there any decent alternative out there?

(The thought of losing the search tool hits pretty hard... I use it to lurk on a ton of people and I'm not even ashamed of it... what do you guys actually use it for?) 🙂

On Reddit, next to "Participating" on the far right, there's a button to the left of that for "Subscriptions," which shows both the threads I've posted in and the ones I just follow.

It works for me. 🤷

I'm more annoyed by the fact that I won't be able to lurk as much. 🙂 😬

And yeah, if I had to choose... I'd rather have the search tool even if it glitches out occasionally.
Losing the search feature would be a much bigger problem.

You have to subscribe to everything. It still works on Reddit.

Just use those three horizontal lines to navigate the forum and subscribe to whatever you want.
It isn't quite the same as the other feature, but it beats having nothing at all.

Honestly, those categories are a total nightmare. I can't make heads or tails of them even if I tried. 🤣
But I did spot the subscription field. It doesn't cover all my activity since I've never actually subscribed to anything—I usually just click whatever pops up just to get rid of —but hey, it's better than nothing.

I can seem to follow the Subscriptions, but whenever I try to click on Participating, it acts like I don't even have permission to be here... does anyone know when they might actually get this sorted out? It’s a bit of a relief to realize I’m not the only one dealing with this glitch...

I mean, some of these threads we get into are pretty pointless... but I found a workaround with those subscriptions... I could probably live with that.

But really, why are so many people digging through this forum so intensely? 🤷

(Get the hint—if you want to give them a constructive reason why a search tool is necessary so they actually restore it... I mostly just use it to snoop, and I can't exactly go around attacking people with that argument... damn, it's a shame)😬

If I recall correctly, it’s been maybe a year or two since we were truly without it.

Look, I’m not talking about using some search engine or anything; I’m talking about the fact that over on Reddit, under my "Participating" section, the threads I'm actually active in just aren't showing up... I couldn't care less about the search function right now ☕

The issue isn't that the search tool is broken. In reality, that feature *is* the search tool.
