Reducing post counts

Why does it feel like my post count drops every single time I check it? Seriously, one minute I’m looking at nearly 1,000 posts, then suddenly it plunges to 850, and now I’m sitting here at 753...😕
I mean, look, it’s not like I’m obsessed with the numbers or anything—it's not like I'm out here writing novels every day—but honestly, it’s just driving my curiosity crazy.

Same here!!
In my opinion, I was around 2,080 about a month ago, and now I'm sitting at 1,670!!!??

It happens again—they switch to some new (cheaper and worse) server and we lose massive amounts of posts and even some members!! ☕

Screw this forum... hope it crashes!!! 😠

Certain threads get nuked—others just get archived into PDFs where the post count doesn't even register 😉
Generally speaking, it’s nothing to write home about 😍

Threads get deleted and posts vanish into thin air. It’s just how things work here.

There is absolutely no need for tears, though; you can always just sit down and write some fresh ones. 😁

We are looking at tragedies of truly epic proportions here.

The forum is undergoing a massive cleanup. And if you tend to hang out mostly in the chat threads, there is a massive chance your posts will simply vanish right as those specific subforums get moved over to the trash bin during the purge.

well what if I don't post in those types of threads???

Didn't we already deal with that whole mess where they migrated to another server and we lost about 50 members and over 2,000 posts...🙄

If you aren't contributing to these types of discussions, the forum inevitably loses its substance—it just gets stripped of everything meaningful. We lose the new threads, the classic ones, and even the mindless nonsense that keeps things lively.

Fine. So, you end up with fewer posts. But honestly, what’s the actual issue there, and why does everyone seem so concerned about it?

Man, if my posts just flatline to zero like that...😬
