Reporting inappropriate posts

It honestly feels like the mod team isn't really stepping up lately. Over the last couple of months, I've flagged at least two different posts because the images were way over the 640-pixel limit, and so far, nothing has been done—not even a single warning card issued. I hate being that guy who has to call things out, but here we are. 😢

Did the same user upload all those photos to this specific thread?
I mean, there’s a chance a moderator just sent them a private message about it, right? Why does everything have to be immediately censored or pixelated the second it hits the forum? 🙂

Basically, the penalties are automatic, though I think it's perfectly fine if the mods give a little heads-up before they start handing out bans. That seems fair enough to me. 🙂

I remember that one. I don't really have the habit of spamming chats, using all caps, posting nothing but emojis, or uploading images larger than what's permitted. 🤷

That's actually my thinking too. You really have to watch image sizes in a chat because things move so fast there, and if everyone starts dumping huge files, the whole feed just becomes a cluttered mess.
Plus, being way too lax about it feels kind of unprofessional to me. I like things to look clean. 🤷

Is this being handled systematically? How many images like this actually exist? I need you to track down that massive batch of oversized files. I was reviewing the logs and spotted your report from September 24th regarding that 701px × 597px image. The problem is, posts pile up so fast that an image like that ends up buried on a different page before anyone can react. It’s almost like if I started banning smiley faces as spam in the chat—it just doesn't make much sense.
To be clear, I suppose I'll start issuing yellow cards for images that exceed the chat size limits. I think it might be a good way to teach people the rules so they don't run into trouble elsewhere. Hopefully, that's alright.

Chat moderation only works if the mods actually react to user reports.

It's pretty dumb to expect volunteer mods to sit there scrolling through endless pages of chat just to bust someone for using caps lock or an emoji.

There are two main issues here—first off, this thread devolved into basic small talk almost immediately. Honestly, if I could, I’d love to send a massive surge of high voltage straight through the Ethernet cable of any user posting images large enough to distort my entire screen layout. It isn't even about whether someone takes this forum "seriously" or not.

It would be great if the forum just gave people a heads-up when they try to upload massive images, instead of having other users aggressively reporting names just because they don't agree with them. Then, after the mods ignore the nonsense, they start whining to the admins over at PZK.
The moderators are basically wasting their lives handing out warnings just because newbies haven't bothered to read the rules yet.

Can we get a system to block oversized images, similar to how the site stops you from dumping more than 10 emojis in a single post? 🤔
