Sabaa, I need an answer!

Nica mentioned you’re the supermod in charge of the Alternative subreddit, and since there hasn't been an active moderator on there for months now—literally nobody is cleaning up the mess—and things are just getting worse by the day (constant insults, endless bickering, etc.), I was wondering if you could let me know when, or even just what the timeline is, (even if it's just a ballpark estimate) for when the Alternative sub will finally get a moderator?

PS: Or is Dyma actually the supermod for Alternative? I honestly can't remember anymore because that's just what Nica said a few months back...

Here we go. I suppose we should probably get around to compiling a list of the supermodes. It feels like one of those tasks that’s been lingering on the back burner for a while, though I can't say for certain if we're actually ready to pull the trigger on it just yet. Maybe we should sit down and hammer out the specifics first? I'm open to suggestions, of course..

So, looking at the current roster, it seems like Dyma is still holding down that supermoderator position over at Alternative, but I honestly can't tell if that's actually the case or if the list is just outdated. I mean, I’ve personally reached out to him directly about a few different issues over the last three months or so, and I haven't really seen much movement. It makes me wonder if the roles have shifted behind the scenes and the site just hasn't caught up yet. That was incredibly blunt—honestly, those insults were probably worth at least 500 points on any reasonable scale. Well, to be honest, there wasn't even a single reaction. 😲So, there’s a chance that it just isn't anymore...

I think I might have sent my question to the right person (fingers crossed)—since Nica hasn't responded to our requests or the fact that Alternative has basically had zero active moderators for months now...

PS: We haven't mentioned anything about Astrology or Magic and Mysticism, mostly because I assume those sections are being kept under control.

I really think it would be great if they actually regulated the posting on Alternative, because honestly, the scammers and the total frauds have just completely lost all control here

I think there might have been a bit of a misunderstanding between you and Nica, because as far as I know, I’m not the supermod for Alternative. At least, that’s my understanding of the situation.😁

Unfortunately, I can't give you a specific timeline for when the issues over at Alternative will be sorted out, but believe me, we all see what's happening there.

Get ready, because certain people are about to swoop in with the same old pitch: "there are plenty of folks who are interested in joining Alternative and would be more than happy to moderate—doing a high-quality, professional job, of course. They’ll claim that if they were in charge, "these blatant rule violations just wouldn't happen"
or point out how many "active, on-topic members have been around for years without ever even getting a warning, and truly care about and understand the discussions happening here on the forums."

And just like that, we're right back at square one. 🤦🤦

Brenda Gonzalez12, I think you're overreacting a bit here. Look, I’ll be the first one to lose my cool if people start tagging each other in some weird, self-destructive cycle, but that's just not what's happening right now. 😁

Honestly, even if you have two completely different people involved—say, a male scientist and a female conspiracy theorist, or just someone older and someone younger—it really doesn't matter. As long as everyone stays within the lines and respects the framework (you know, following the forum rules and the PDF guidelines), everything will naturally fall into place and settle down.

And honestly? Finding a solution is actually pretty easy, and I think everyone will end up being perfectly fine with it.

Are we actually going to get an official announcement about any new mods?
Or is it just gonna be a total surprise where their names suddenly pop up on the Alternative mod list without anyone saying a word?
