There are some lines you just don't cross.

You don't see Mexico joining a military alliance with China. You don't see Ukraine in NATO.

Whoever is pushing for that wants war. They're practically begging for it.

And if you're doing this knowing it leads to war, what's your actual agenda? What's the motivation, and where does the responsibility lie?

Man, you just don't do that...

So tell me, how did you react when Iraq was invaded? Is there something wrong with your moral compass while you're busy lecturing everyone else?

Or are they just subhuman, like denijama said, so their destruction doesn't actually matter to us?

Nobody is actually inviting anyone into NATO. This war has nothing to do with NATO, regardless of how much certain biased news outlets try to spin it that way.

This conflict is just like most other major wars throughout history—it's fundamentally a war over resources.

War is the absolute worst-case scenario. Honestly? I’d rather see them make extra concessions they wouldn't normally touch. Politicians come and go—eventually, the policy will change too.

Right, you're just a regular comedian, aren't you?

Or, I don't know, maybe at the gas station, if someone wants to chip in, they can just pay extra for their fuel. $6.75/L

It doesn't matter; all this talk about Ukraine joining NATO was nonsense that was debunked within the first few days of the war. It’s an idea so outdated even the Russians don't bother with it anymore. NATO isn't out there handing out invitations and coaxing countries to join their ranks.

Give me a break, man. NATO my foot.

The attack targets Russian genetics, which isn't surprising given how Ukrainians have been lost to the Russians for ages anyway, though I suppose there’s some kind of logic behind it.

I honestly admire your dedication to typing out the exact same nonsense over and over again.

Is there even one single post where you aren't lying?

I can't tell if your parents raised you to be this dishonest, if you were born this way, or if you just picked it up over time... whatever it is—you just constantly lie and make stuff up.

As for subhumans, I'm talking about those Kremlin fascists and the cronies typing out lies on this forum... on that point, you're right.

If you were even slightly smarter, maybe you could lie more convincingly—like that lying Amanda Flores88 or whoever her name is...🍿

Actually, you did say you couldn't care less which upcoming undemocratic ruin gets destroyed by whoever. That’s exactly what you said.

And that kind of attitude pretty much screams Western... well, you know what I mean.

If I really felt like it, I'd go ahead and copy your little viewpoint...

You really can't compare that to what Putin is demanding right now, which is to annex specific territories and declare them part of the Russian Federation as new federal districts.
If that happens, they will NEVER get that land back, whether through military action or politics.

Look, I live in a city where—if you're lucky enough to survive long enough to see it—a 90-year-old has realistically seen five different countries and several entire systems change, all without ever leaving their apartment. And all those elites who thought they were carving out permanent empires through sheer force? They were all convinced that *now* was when real history finally began. But nothing lasts forever—it’s all just a matter of timing.

Right, you're just a regular comedian, aren't you?

So, what you're actually saying is that Ukraine should have just rolled over and signed away its own sovereignty.
That’s the exact kind of "concession" Russia was looking for, and you know they’d just come knocking for the next one a few years later.
And as for politicians changing—that doesn't change the fact that if Ukraine had signed off on losing territory, nobody would ever step up to help them get it back. There wouldn't even be any motivation to help, because people would just say, "Hey, you signed the deal yourselves, so why complain after XX years of serfdom?"

Not true. You're lying... again...

Look, what I actually said was that if some backward, undemocratic wreck wants to get its hands on an Atomic bomb and start blackmailing the entire world like those fascists over in the Kremlin, then yeah, they should be taken out... preemptively.

And that is a completely different thing from the garbage you just typed up... especially that disgusting part about "subhumans." Those "subhumans" are basically using the same fascist tactics that you're out here defending and supporting against "evil Western" interests.

Whatever—you're lying...

The regime changes within a country that you're talking about don't actually affect that nation's international borders, right?
Do you honestly believe that after some part of Ukraine has been under Russian control for XX years, someone in Russia is just going to pop up and say, "Oops, sorry we took that from you, here you go, take it back"???
Besides, if this is as harmless as you think it is, how come Russia hasn't managed to get a single country to support its annexations in Crimea or the Donbas—aside from its little puppet states in Syria, Belarus, and North Korea?
Not a single CSTO member, not even China, nor any of those wannabe dictators have backed Russia's moves. Doesn't that ring a massive alarm bell that Russia is doing something completely wrong? It's obvious to everyone else that what Russia is pulling is a direct assault on one of the fundamental pillars of the global order established after WW2 and the UN, along with its charter (which, ironically, Russia loves to cite every chance they get).

People talk about the drop in living standards and all these other issues caused by Russian fascists—especially in the West—all the damn time. Nobody is hiding it, so the fact that you keep insisting otherwise is a blatant lie... which, honestly, is pretty much your brand at this point.

And don't lecture me about "illusions"—I am perfectly aware of the hypocrisy coming from both the USA and the West, but I’d still choose them in a heartbeat if it means staying away from Russia and that entire way of thinking... just like any sane person would.

Stop lying to yourself, and maybe you'll finally find your way out of whatever cloud of nonsense you're floating in.

I’m not rooting for the USA or for Russia, because neither side actually wants what's best for Europe.

I haven't told a single lie. Neither have you. You know what lying actually means? You’re just reciting your own interpretation based on a total misunderance of modern geopolitics.

Especially regarding your claim that nothing is going to happen.

Have you even stepped foot in a grocery store lately? Do you realize the average pension in America is $0.83? Tell me, if gas hits $6.75, how much do you think bread is going to cost? Or canned beans?

Do you honestly think everything stays fine through sheer magic? What rational basis do you have for thinking that...

The historical cycle is complete: Europe has basically been downgraded from a player to nothing more than a colonial outpost for someone else's interests.

One might have to repeat this endlessly before it finally begins to be accepted as the truth.

Amanda Flores88 said:I guess it's true that "it's better to negotiate for a thousand years than to fight for one day." In that sense, we can keep trading verbal jabs on social media forever. And honestly? I'm not pretending to be some moral compass or claiming my heart bleeds for a nation I didn't even know the location of yesterday.

I'm not playing the warrior or Mother Teresa—I don't care about Ukraine any more than I care about Iraq. I care a bit more about things here at home and how we're living, watching this senseless destruction and seeing our own standard of living tank for reasons that seem totally foggy. I'm sure your heart aches for them, but politics? That’s supposed to be handled with logic.

So, if that's the case, why not just walk away entirely? It seems to be the "logical" conclusion, right? Just leave the conversation to those who actually possess the necessary context.

On a side note... perhaps a trip through time back to the Kremlin just before the invasion would help persuade the decision-makers who pulled the trigger.

But no, it’s much more productive to stifle any real discussion with that mindless, repetitive "I just want peace" rhetoric.

By that same logic, are you also a fan of standing in the rain or listening to great music?

Amanda Flores88 said:That’s one way to look at it, sure. But the other side of the coin is that maybe they didn't actually exhaust every single diplomatic avenue before things went south and war broke out.

And now we're pretending the war just "happened"? What a load of nonsense.

No, a war isn't something that just spontaneously manifests because someone was trying to avoid it; it's an event that occurs.

Once that happens, Ukrainians begin defending themselves, but defense doesn't just "occur" out of thin air. I wonder why they couldn't simply negotiate their way through the bombs and artillery shells that were suddenly dropped on their heads without anyone actually pulling the trigger.

It is a complete moral inversion, typical of someone who has lost all sense of reality.

From what I gather—and please, feel free to set me straight if there’s some food scientist or whatever out there who knows better—natural gas is one of the biggest, maybe even *the* most critical components when it comes to making fertilizer.
Just a quick side note here...
Malaria is basically a disease that we could pretty much entirely prevent or at least treat, but despite all our crazy tech and medical breakthroughs, something like 400,000 kids still die from it every single year.
Does anyone sitting on their high horse about morality actually give a damn?
Is there even a thread about this on the forums?
Or is it just considered irrelevant because they're mostly just little Black kids who aren't being shoved down our throats daily by CNN, BBC, and the rest of the mainstream media?
I guess it's just that old saying—out of sight, out of mind.

Amanda Flores88 said:You guys aren't exactly in any position to lecture anyone on morality or consistency. Anyone actually hyped up about waging war should've been in Ukraine a long time ago.
Just being loud and opinionated on social media or over drinks at a bar shows you actually care—you're supporting the fight only as much as your comfort zone allows.

With current active wars, Turkey also launched a "police action" in northern Syria just a few days ago. Screaming, whining, sanctions? NOTHING. Zero points.
The best part? They’re attacking Kurds, who are American allies and favorites of the EU. But they aren't important enough.
Out of all the fake moralists on this topic, how many have stepped up? Zero.

We already discussed Yemen. Incomparably more dead, millions starving, and the West is still arming Al-Qaeda types from Saudi Arabia. Apparently, they're dear allies to us all.
That’s a recap of the forum commenters for you.

The drop in standards in the EU is happening because the EU itself started the sanctions, so in typical fashion, you're lying.

hollowdriver13 said:So, how do you even deal with someone who has zero intention of being straight with you during negotiations? It’s like trying to play chess with someone who just wants to flip the table. Look at what happened with the Russian negotiations—they basically agreed to whatever we asked for at first. But then, once Ukraine rejected those absolutely insane demands of theirs, they just went full "might makes right" and tried to settle the score with military force. At that point, what choice do you really have left other than just hunkering down and defending yourself?

1. Neutrality—basically, staying out of NATO.
2. Resolving the conflict in the rebel Donbas. Just as a reminder, Zelenskyy wasn't exactly eager to play ball either; back in early February, when things were already heating up, he refused to even talk to his own fellow citizens from that region. And all while trying to pull them back into Ukraine.

Everything else was just standard high-stakes bargaining. The Ukrainians wouldn't budge, and now they're stuck in a much worse position that isn't going away anytime soon.

hollowdriver13 said:Hey, feel free to dive deeper into that thought.
What else could they have possibly offered? The US actually offered them military neutrality, and they even rolled back that legislation in Congress regarding Crimea and Donbas. Seriously, what was left to negotiate that wouldn't have basically turned them into a Russian colony, which is exactly what Russia was pushing for?

Maybe you can explain to me how "military neutrality" works for a NATO member? And please, provide a link to back that up.

Honestly, I’d rather deal with inflation than have to face thermobaric bombs. Look at how Russia managed to push even the most peaceful Finns and Swedes straight into the arms of NATO. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Specifically you, look at your last post on the Syria thread:
steelfox98 said:These journalists are a joke. If Psakica gives them a lecture, who are they to question such baseless claims?

Of course, just doing your usual trolling job of trashing America.

1. neutrality, or rather NOT being in NATO

Ukraine declared neutrality and stuck to it.
2. resolving the situation with the rebel Donbas. As a reminder, Zelenskyy didn't just refuse to do that; back in early February, when things were already heating up, he refused to even communicate with his own citizens from that region. And yet he wanted to bring it back under Ukrainian control.

In reality, he just wanted Zelenskyy to accept the results of the first Russian aggression, beefed up by additional territories alongside the already annexed Crimea.

Maybe you could elaborate on what military neutrality looks like for a NATO member? And back it up with a link!

Maybe you can elaborate with a link regarding when Ukraine sent its request to join NATO, yeah spectator?
