Listen up... For a few months now, I’ve been dealing with these annoying visual disturbances—basically little spots or shapes. It's like a faint shadow that just irritates me; sometimes I can even "catch" it or center my focus on it. About two months ago, I went for an eye exam, and everything supposedly came back fine, except my prescription shifted significantly. I went from being slightly farsighted (+0.5 and +0.25) to suddenly needing a -0.25 cylinder. Honestly, it feels better, so I wear glasses occasionally for computer work, reading, or watching TV—mostly just to stave off headaches—though lately, I haven't been wearing them at all. These shadows mostly pop up when I shift my gaze suddenly, and they're much more noticeable in bright light. I don't notice them much at home, but at school, it's constant and incredibly frustrating. Sometimes I see a whole "swarm" of these spots drifting through the lower field of vision in my right eye. My left eye is almost fine—maybe some very faint shadows, but rarely. It's definitely the right eye causing the trouble here. I have no idea why this is happening. I realize it's not easy to diagnose and that I probably need to hit up my primary care doctor first, then head back to the ophthalmologist to report this, and maybe even see a neurologist. Any advice or explanations would be appreciated. Thanks!
