Hey everyone, so I’ve been dealing with these constant little stabs and some light pressure right in the center of my chest for about two weeks now. I actually went to see a cardiologist to get checked out, and apparently, my heart is totally fine—everything is within the normal range...

Since I’m dealing with scoliosis, I was wondering if that could be causing this? Also, is it possible that it’s just stomach nerves or maybe some gastritis acting up? Thanks!

Hey man, walk me through this a bit more. How many years are we talking? Feels like I might be dealing with this too, but I haven't quite figured out what's going on with me yet...

So, I’m 23, and this has been going on constantly for over two weeks now. I’ve got scoliosis, so I can't help but wonder if that's playing a role, though I'm also questioning if my stomach is the culprit here. Every single time I eat, I get these burps—nothing crazy, but maybe 3 or 4 of them in a row

Then there's this burning sensation, kind of a light pressure, right in the middle of my chest. It just hangs out there for an hour or two straight without stopping.

Go read up on the Republican Party
With that scoliosis of yours, you’d actually make a pretty decent candidate for them.

From what I’ve been digging into, that actually seems like a real possibility, but I'm gonna need to do some more deep diving before I can say for sure,

I’m pretty much convinced that this burning sensation in my gut—which hits about two hours after I eat—is straight-up gastritis. By the time morning rolls around, everything just feels absolutely miserable,

Can anyone out there chime in with some advice on how to actually fix this? Like, what kind of lifestyle changes should I be making? My current routine is... well, let's just say it's pretty chaotic,

Seriously, how do I treat this? This constant burning is driving me insane; it’s so irritating that sometimes I feel like I could just rip my own skin off to get some relief,

?

hm thanks for the support🙂🙂

So, I just got back from the doctor where we ran all the necessary tests, and it turns out I’ve got a hiatus hernia—basically my stomach is sitting a bit too high up there, hm. The doc's big advice? Stick to the meds he prescribed for the next five or six weeks, drop a few pounds, and get moving more—less sitting glued to the computer and more walking around. Well, if we're being honest, let's just say we're working on that part now. I definitely plan on sticking around for a good long while yet...🙄

Don't ever let yourself get completely stuffed—try cutting your portions in half and eating more frequently instead. It’s much easier on the system. Also, when you finally crawl into bed, try propping up your head a little higher... just enough to find that sweet spot that feels right... there's actually more to it than that 🙂

Yeah, unfortunately, there’s just a ton of it out there🙂, but what can you do? You just have to roll with it. At the end of the day, I just need to know where I stand🙂🙂

I’d honestly suggest you go see a GI specialist, if only because what you’re feeling could be caused by an H. pylori infection. You really can't afford to ignore that one; leaving an infection like that unchecked for too long is like playing with fire—it can actually lead to stomach or esophageal cancer.

It’s possible, but honestly, I’m leaning more towards it being all those massive, greasy meals and just a generally lousy lifestyle, haha. But hey, thanks for the heads-up, I'll definitely look into that too. Personally, though, the whole idea of getting a gastroscopy makes me pretty uneasy.

It’s really not that bad—especially when you realize just how much seeing those test results can actually take a weight off your mind.

You know what they say: "Thinking is just guesswork."

Just let a specialist give you the real answer. As for the gastroscopy, you'll survive. It's more annoying than it is painful, and it'll be over before you know it.
