Skipping posts

Either I’m completely missing something here, or my eyes are failing me... 🤷

I'm definitely not the only one noticing posts jumping around in threads—whether they're posted within sixty seconds of each other or a few minutes apart. I don't know about everyone else, but it seems to me that the timestamp synchronization between this Reddit and my local system (😕) is totally off. For instance, if I post in an XY thread, the timestamp at the top says 15:25—give or take—but my laptop clock is sitting at 15:23. Just to be clear, it’s not an issue with my hardware; everything is clean, macOS is up to date and running, and all that good stuff.

Could anyone explain this better than I just did and maybe give the admins a heads-up so they can fix it? It's getting pretty tedious. 😳

It’s almost charming, in a mindless kind of way that makes you want to lose it.

My clock on Reddit matches up perfectly with what I see on my laptop and my phone. 🤷

It’s not always like that—right now, the timing is spot on. Posts aren't skipping anymore, you know? But just an hour or two ago, things were jumping around by a few minutes... 🧐

You aren't the only one dealing with posts skipping around.
There are plenty of us who have become victims of the Reddit timestamp glitches 🧐

It’s honestly ridiculous... it's not even just about when things get published. It's more like the site decides to shuffle the order after the fact. You end up with someone replying to a post, only for the entire thread to rearrange itself so the reply ends up sitting above the very quote it was meant to address 😁... absolute chaos.
