Skype connection error

Every time I try to log in to Skype, the process starts, but then it just hangs indefinitely on "connecting to server." Eventually, I get hit with a Skype ERROR: Unable to send HTTP Request. Error code: 12029.

On top of that, whenever I attempt to visit www.skype.com, the page simply won't load at all.
If anyone happens to know a fix for this, please let me know!

Same here, it’s been acting up for a few days now. I tried Googling it but couldn't find much. Anyone have any idea what happened? 🤷

Arthur Scott4, it's the exact same headache. Same damn thing for four days straight now. It won't connect to Skype. We're just stuck waiting—who knows, maybe a week, maybe a month. There's nothing we can actually do about it on our end. You aren't the only one dealing with this crap, believe me.

AT&T. I mean, I’m not sure if we’ll actually see that happen, but maybe we’re just wrong 🙂

I don't really use it myself, but my buddy noticed it hasn't been working for about a week now.

In my opinion, everything should be working fine with AT&T, especially since I have a buddy who’s having zero issues with his connection there right now.

They’re probably messing around with some backend settings, which is why people are getting locked out randomly. You'd have to ask them, but I'm not sure how to even go about that.

I guess I’m running into the exact same headache here. -.- I'm on AT&T, but honestly, I don't think the issue is actually on their end since every other site seems to be loading just fine... it feels more like those folks over at X have completely messed things up 🙂 . Man, I'm just relieved to see I'm not the only one dealing with this 🙂
