edit: I did a little digging online and it looks like Dick's carries Nike, so those shops are out, but Rust Sport seems to have a huge selection of jerseys, even older ones. Apparently, there's a shop near the gallery opposite the Greek and that Important center right by Grand Central Terminal.

Did some digging myself—looks like that one in New York City is the Adidas Originals line, sort of a retro thing, probably why they don't carry the standard ones.

It isn't exactly a failure, though one could argue that Adidas truly excelled when it came to their stripes.

Got a heavy hitter for sale too. It’s an old USA national team jersey from around '97 or '98. Honestly, the only thing I’d trade it for is a deadstock, 100% authentic USA kit from the '98 World Cup! This one is totally legit.
