To whom it may concern;
I am unsure which subforum this belongs in, so I will simply post it here.
I had never even heard of this specific type of tumor until fourteen days ago, when my mother underwent a series of diagnostic tests.
Initially, they suspected a blood clot. Then, they thought it was inflammation of the mitral valve. Ultimately, after a biopsy, they determined it was a mesenchymal tumor.
Naturally, the name itself provides no clarity.
Has anyone here ever encountered this?
A biopsy was performed, confirming only that it is a mesenchymal tumor. A PET scan was also conducted; however, it only indicated that the tumor is highly vascularized, failing to clarify whether it is malignant or benign.
The tumor markers all returned normal results.
The surgeon stated that he must perform an excision to determine if the growth is benign or malignant🙂.
Does anyone possess any information regarding this situation? I am requesting any available insights.
