Hey there, just making my first post here to see if anyone can help me out with a bit of a situation.
So, basically, I’ve got this little sore inside my nose—specifically in my left nostril—and it just won't seem to go away. Back last year, around November, I caught a nasty little cold, nothing crazy, just your standard American flu... and when I went to blow my nose, I noticed a tiny bit of blood. To check it out, I wrapped a little tissue around my pinky and reached up, and sure enough, there was this tiny little speck of blood, maybe only a millimeter or two wide, right on the cartilage of my left nostril, about an inch from the opening. That little spot lasted for about two weeks and then cleared up... or at least, I hope it did, since I don't exactly enjoy peering up my own nose. But then, about a month later, I blow my nose again and there it is... that same little sore in the exact same spot. It heals up, then pops back up every three or four weeks. Every single time I blow my nose, I see that same little trace of blood...
The weird thing is, the sore doesn't hurt at all. Not even a little bit. If I wasn't blowing my nose, I probably wouldn't even realize it was there. My nose isn't stuffed up, I don't have a fever, and everything else feels totally fine. I've been doing some reading online and saw stuff about damaged nasal mucosa, but I'm not so sure that's it since my nose isn't congested or anything... specifically that left side where this keeps happening.
I'd really appreciate any insight if anyone knows what might be going on here...
