Watched it yesterday.
There are some genuinely killer effects in there because the guy is basically blind, so he’s navigating through sound alone—kind of like how you'd sense seismic vibrations—and honestly, they nailed that part... it felt real.
The rest of it, though? Total garbage. Just absolute trash...

Wait, what?! I didn't even realize they filmed it! I mean, I've heard whispers...

Calling it garbage is an understatement... What a waste. Daredevil is easily my favorite of all those superhero comics—dark, smart, and genuinely beautiful. But good grief, there isn't a shred of genius that Hollywood can't find a way to screw up...

There’s really only one way to completely tank a movie: you hire Ben Affleck to play the lead role.

Man, what you said about Hollywood is just the honest truth. You've got the main villain—some guy just chucking arrows, glass shards, staplers, or whatever else he can grab—aiming straight for the throat of the squad, and then some random side character gets killed off, and suddenly everyone is jumping eight or nine feet into the air and all that other garbage. I mean, fine, maybe Daredevil can pull that off (I guess), but why on earth would anyone else? It makes zero sense. Honestly, it feels like those third-rate kung-fu flicks from the 70s. I won't go on about it, though, because nobody's actually going to sit through that anyway...

I think you mean "Rat from the Shopping Mall." Ben Affleck actually wasn't in "Merchants."

Those are really the only two movies where he actually had an acting role; in all the others, he was basically just making a cameo appearance.

Honestly, you’re better off just grabbing a Marvel movie and enjoying Daredevil 😢

I haven't seen Daredevil yet, but honestly, nobody has ever told me it was actually good. Clearly, nobody knows anything about movies... I am eagerly waiting for Modesty Blaise, though. It's such a shame they killed her off in the comics...

Honestly, it’s such a relief to find someone else who feels the exact same way about Dogma.
I actually ended up walking right out of the theater during Dogma because it was just so incredibly bad that I couldn't sit through another second of it... and honestly, that was only the second time in my entire life that I've ever walked out of a movie, which I think says everything you need to know about how much I hated it.
As for Daredevil... well... let's just say it was okay... if you really stretch the definition of watchable...
Colin Farrell was definitely the highlight of the whole thing, but everything else was just... oh my goodness... and I seriously have to wonder whose brilliant idea it was to cast Bennifer in the lead role (you know, the one everyone calls Mr. J-Lo)??? 🙄

It's actually Terry Gilliam playing that Spanish Inquisitor—I can't quite recall the specific name of the sketch off the top of my head. To be totally honest with you, I was originally leaning toward using Graham Chapman instead.

Lame, boring, almost unwatchable.

Ben Affleck wanders through the movie with his chest puffed out, trying to convince us (yeah, right...) that he's the big star and just a total catch (subjective, I guess...); I used to be indifferent toward him, but after this, he’s just irritating.

I don't know... feels like Benov's constant posturing ate up what could have been a genuinely cool, dark story (not to mention a few other 'details' that really needed fixing 😁 ).

The effects were solid, the soundtrack was killer, and honestly, Colin Farrell crushed it. 👍

And honestly, those visual effects were top-tier. Like, that shot where it pans through his eye right at the start—or when the kid wakes up in the hospital (I'll stop there so I don't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet). Just really well done. 👍 🙂

I mean, sure... the special effects were pretty decent, but they weren't exactly... I don't know how to put it... mind-blowing...
