So, it all kicked off yesterday—first the muscle aches, then a low-grade fever of about 99°F, followed by vomiting and stomach cramps. I haven't been able to keep anything down since yesterday morning, which isn't exactly a fun way to spend a day...
Things are looking slightly better today; I managed some dry toast and tea, though that 99°F fever is still hanging around.
Any idea what I'm in for?
Should I expect to turn a corner in a couple of days?

I’d say it sounds like a stomach bug. I seem to catch one at least once every couple of months—honestly, it's never fun to deal with, but you should feel better in two or three days. Try sipping some lemon tea or snacking on a few pieces of dry toast... just something to keep your strength up while it passes. And whatever you do, don't jump straight back into greasy comfort food once you're feeling better; your stomach won't be ready for that kind of heavy lifting yet.
Hang in there, it'll pass quickly👍.

P.S. I had this exact same thing about a year ago, and ever since then, it feels like I can't quite shake it—it just keeps coming back to haunt me...

Oh man....if this is the stomach flu, which sounds exactly like what you're dealing with, I've actually gone through it twice myself. It’s weird, it hit me two years in a row right at the start of September.😕
Anyway, for me, it was a total nightmare—all I could handle was plain toast and some tea that tasted pretty nasty, I lost a few pounds I definitely didn't want to lose, and I was just writhing on the floor from the pain since there isn't really a magic pill for it. But the silver lining is that it usually clears up after a few days, which is exactly how it went for me. Hang in there.👍

Feeling a lot better today—fever's gone and my stomach isn't killing me anymore..
It doesn't happen to me all that often, but if you’re dealing with this stuff on a regular loop every two or three months, there might be some stubborn bacteria nesting itself in your stomach lining or something similar. A buddy of mine has been battling H. pylori for a year now, and man, his stomach gives him constant grief..

I'm with you. I have gastritis too, without HP, but last week made it clear it was something else. Four days of nausea and morning diarrhea. Thought it would never end. But it did... then it moved to my sinuses, and man, that was rough. That's when the fever started. I'm taking Amoxil, but it's not doing much. After three days of fever, it seems to be gone, but my nose is still running like crazy, my eardrums feel plugged, and I have constant headaches.

So weird, one day it's the nose, then the gut, then back to the nose... hope the gut doesn't follow next 🤣

Looks like I've finally caught that virus after what feels like ten years... seems to be the same thing you guys are dealing with! I feel like I've been run over by a truck! My back is killing me... ugh! But it'll pass eventually.

Look, half of Washington, D.C. has been hit by this stomach bug. It’s nothing major—I caught it myself a few days ago and I'm already over it.

It starts with those first ominous cramps in your gut, then comes the unstoppable 😲 diarrhea, vomiting, a fever, and just feeling completely wiped out.

Medication: activated Coal or Seldia capsules to get the diarrhea under control. Just follow the directions on the package. Don't overdo it, though—unless you want to be "cemented" in place for a while.😁
Dietary plan: Day one is strictly black tea, toast, or plain crackers (make sure they don't have any dairy or eggs in them). Day two: chicken broth, boiled rice, tea (mint or ginger works fine; doesn't have to be black tea), and more toast. Once you're feeling better, you can move on to boiled potatoes, bananas, and stuff like that.

The real key here is keeping things light and—this is crucial—DO NOT DRINK WATER. Stick to tea for at least the next five days. And obviously, watch what you eat afterward; stay away from anything that might irritate a sensitive stomach.

Coal might help, but I wouldn't touch it if you're dealing with a virus. You need the body to actually flush out the "toxins"... just stick to a clean diet for a few days and you should be fine 🙂

Coal binds to all those nasty toxins and then flushes them right out of your system. At least, that's what my doctor told me when she recommended I take some.

Avoid using Coal when you've got a virus going on. It slows down your digestion, which basically just gives the virus more time to hang out in your system. You might end up dragging the whole illness out or making things even worse than they already are.

Yeah, sure, it binds things, but if I had a virus, I wouldn't touch it... I'm with what this person down below said (I can't remember their name) 😁

And another thing... I once dealt with a stomach bug that lasted ten straight days, and even activated charcoal didn't do a damn thing for me. So you tell me 😉

Hope everyone's feeling better by now. Just one quick question for the group. Did any of you deal with a sore throat while you were under the weather?

I never caught that virus, and I’m still clear, thank God.. if you're dealing with all that pain while swallowing right now, you might be looking at strep throat or something similar.

It’s not really just throat pain, though. It feels more like swallowing stones whenever I try to eat. Plus, all those other symptoms are definitely there.

I don't know... your doctor will have a better clue than I will xD I'm no expert when it comes to throat issues, never really cared enough to learn about them anyway... 😁

A stomach virus has been absolutely wrecking me today—cramps and hitting the restroom every thirty minutes. Anything I eat just triggers it immediately. 😢Anyone else currently fighting this battle?

Is it even possible to catch a virus like this😁? I don't know... man, my stomach's been absolute trash for a week now. Every single time I eat, I'm sprinting to the bathroom... just constant diarrhea like three or four times a day...🤷

I mean, it’s possible, right? Why wouldn't it be? I'm feeling slightly better today—was running a fever of 99.5 last night, but nothing this morning.😁

I think I’m joining this club too!
Since Tuesday, I have been struggling to function.
The temperature hit 104 degrees, I have constant stomach issues, and my head and sinuses feel like they are about to explode.
I feel slightly better as time passes, but I have a flight scheduled for tomorrow and I am unsure if I should go.
I am worried about passing out on the plane.
