Well, here we go again 🙄
I’m hoping someone out there might have some insight...
My stomach is absolutely wrecking me. It’s hard to even call it "pain"—it’s more like this relentless, gnawing hunger that won't quit, paired with all this constant gurgling and churning—honestly, it feels like things are just exploding inside my gut. 🙄
Then there’s the constant burping and gas—not the loud or smelly kind, thankfully, but it just won't stop. 🤣
As for bathroom trips, it's all over the place. Sometimes nothing happens, sometimes it's frequent... the day before yesterday was barely anything, yesterday was a total washout, and today I finally had a normal movement, though I dealt with some pretty intense cramping beforehand.
That sensation in my stomach is just constant, and it's making it impossible to focus on anything else. 😢 It’s actually loud enough to be embarrassing, too—even right after I eat. My abdomen feels tender to the touch, as well. I really don't know what's going on; this weird combination of feeling completely empty and incredibly bloated at the exact same time is just miserable. 😢
Does anyone have any advice or maybe a similar experience they could share?

So this isn't just a stomach issue; it sounds like your entire digestive system is out of whack...
At the end of the day, nobody online can give you an actual diagnosis. If this is genuinely interfering with your daily life, you really ought to go see a doctor...

The root cause could be anything at this point—maybe you aren't eating enough, or perhaps you're overdoing it. It could be the specific types of food you're choosing, an imbalance in stomach acid, or even a lack of healthy gut bacteria...
What does your typical diet look like? And how long has this been going on?

I’m not trying to act like I have all the answers here—honestly—but I deal with constant stomach issues myself, along with a diagnosis of anxiety. Of course, your situation might be totally different, but in my experience, if there isn't a clear link to what you're eating, then it's almost certainly coming from your head.

I found an older thread by the same author here:

If you're dealing with a similar issue, I can't help but wonder if you might be struggling with a yeast overgrowth in your digestive tract. Now, I’m certainly no doctor, so please don't take this as a medical diagnosis, but several things point in that direction: the bouts of diarrhea, the way symptoms flare up after eating sweets, the nausea triggered by heavy meals, and that persistent bloating combined with frequent hunger pangs.

... I went through something remarkably similar after a round of antibiotics. What eventually helped me was pivoting to a diet rich in protein and vegetables, strictly cutting out sugar, and staying consistent with a probiotic...
I recall seeing a discussion about anti-fungal diets online—there are even specific meal plans available if you search for them. Perhaps try following one for a few days to see if you notice an improvement? If you do, you might have your answer...

That said, if this persists for more than a couple of days, it would be wise to go see a doctor...

If it’s the same issue popping up again, honestly, it sounds to me like you might be dealing with some kind of gut yeast overgrowth—not that I’m a doctor or anything, so definitely don't take this as a medical diagnosis—but the fact that you had diarrhea, and then things flared right up after you ate something sweet, plus how heavy foods make you nauseous... all that bloating and feeling hungry constantly? It points in that direction.

... I went through something pretty much identical after a round of antibiotics. What finally helped me was sticking to a diet heavy on protein and veggies, cutting out sugar entirely, and taking a good probiotic...
There was supposed to be a thread about anti-fungal diets, and there are plenty of meal plans online for it. Maybe try following one for a few days and see if you feel better—if you do, you'll probably know what the culprit was...

But seriously, if this keeps dragging on for a few more days, just go see a doctor...

Thanks. But no, it can't just be "in my head."🤷
I only eat once or twice a day, usually just some meat and potatoes, and I eat quite a bit of tomatoes 😁 and maybe a sandwich. I don't know, maybe it's not the healthiest setup.😢
I'll give that diet you mentioned a shot and see how it goes, thanks so much!
It's driving me crazy, though—when my stomach starts making those loud noises, I can feel people staring at me.😕
I'm pretty sure it isn't gastritis or anything like that, because if it were, my stomach would be burning or aching. I'm just glad someone else has dealt with something similar.🙂
By the way, I can't seem to find that specific meal plan anywhere, so if you could share it... I'd really appreciate it.

Here are a few links for you to look over. They outline various symptoms, and if any of them sound familiar, you'll find some dietary suggestions included as well:

Thanks a ton!
I'm going to start following that diet right away. I was taking some Augmentin recently—it’s possible that's what triggered this...🤷

I'm going to start following that diet. I was taking Sumamed, so maybe that’s what caused it...🤷

That's that.
Yogurt completely wiped out my gut flora.

Just grab some yogurt and a little cheese; you'll feel better soon.

I’ve just been handling it with some Pepto-Bismol—not all at once, obviously, but spread out over a couple of days. That usually does the trick!

But I already mentioned my stomach doesn't actually hurt. It’s not burning or anything like that.
Man, I probably took that Sumameds for no reason either—my doctor prescribed them because of some cyst on my throat 🙄 which the ENT basically told me was totally normal, then just gave me some gargle to deal with it. I popped three Sumameds about two months ago 🤷 so maybe that's what did it. My symptoms weren't even acting up back then...
Then there's the diet 😢—is that really it? Nothing else besides that? I tried taking some Pepto-Bismol, but honestly, I didn't feel much of a difference.🤷

Good grief, I was just taking Sumamed for no reason then; my doctor prescribed it because of a cyst in my throat 🙄 which my ENT specialist said was perfectly normal, so he just gave me some rinse to gargle with instead. I took three Sumamed pills about two months ago 🤷 So that's probably it. I wasn't having any symptoms back then...
Then the diet 😢 anything else besides that? I was taking Pepto-Bismol, but I didn't really notice any improvement 🤷

Next time you feel that cyst coming on, grab a glass of plain lukewarm water and stir in two teaspoons of regular table salt. Then just gargle with it.

What on earth is Sumamed?😕

As for those symptoms, I'm telling you: eat yogurt, cheese, and other fermented foods to help restore your gut flora.

I hope you know what gut flora is.

What kind of snake oil am I dealing with here? 😕

As for those other issues, honestly, just stick to yogurt, cheese—basically anything fermented—to help get your gut flora back in shape.

I’m assuming you actually know what gut flora is...

I know, 😁
Is that why my stomach is constantly acting up?
Some total scammer suggested this for the cyst 🙄 but there wasn't even any inflammation—she just claimed it would make the cyst vanish.

Of course. Gut flora doesn't just affect your intestines; it impacts the entire digestive tract, which actually starts in your mouth. A huge portion of digestion happens in the gut, so if your microbiome is out of whack, your digestion suffers. This puts extra strain on your stomach, forcing it to pick up the slack.

silvercobra68 said:Exactly—gut flora isn't just some isolated thing happening in your intestines; it affects the entire digestive tract, starting right from the moment you take a bite. A massive chunk of digestion actually happens in the gut, so if your microbiome is out of whack, everything slows down. Then the stomach ends up having to pick up the slack and work overtime to process everything.

Well, that’s a relief. 😁
I just hope eating yogurt and cheese doesn't trigger a bout of diarrhea. 🤣
I was honestly getting a little spooked—I've been scrolling through this forum reading endless threads about H. pylori, gastritis, intestinal issues... I basically ignored all of it because I wasn't feeling any pain, but it was still weighing on me. Thanks a million!🙂

vividbear272, you don't necessarily have to deal with stomach pain if you're struggling with gastritis or excess acid. I actually deal with both myself, and I find that I run into similar issues quite often—things like burping, nausea, bloating, and the occasional bout of diarrhea—yet I almost never experience actual pain. It might be worth experimenting with some specific dietary changes, but please don't just ignore the possibility of those underlying gastric conditions; if things don't start looking up, you should definitely go see a gastroenterologist!

Lei0081, I've moved your post here (click the link) because we already have a very active, high-traffic thread dedicated specifically to "stomach issues."

I would normally just merge this with the existing thread, but technical constraints make that risky—I don't want to bury a massive discussion under a new one. To keep things organized, I’m locking this thread. Please direct all future questions regarding digestive issues to the linked thread.
