Strange message received

So I try to hop into one of those political threads, right? And what do I get? This lovely little message:
Melissa Cooper35, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Like, seriously, why?

I haven't even typed a single damn thing in that subforum yet, I'm just here to lurk and read... 😕

I haven't even posted anything in that subforum yet, I was just reading... 😕

Maybe you clicked a link that leads to an admin or moderator section that you don't actually have rights to see.

The whole thing happened because the thread was deleted, yet somehow that redirect link is still hanging around...😁
