I'm curious if using synthetic adrenaline would lead to increased strength and speed, similar to what happens during a natural adrenaline rush?

A few days ago, I was catching up with a buddy of mine—someone who shares my absolute obsession with training—to pick his brain about using Suprarenin as a pre-workout stimulant, and honestly, what he told me left me completely shaken. He mentioned he was mid-way through this absolutely brutal heavy bag session when he just suddenly blacked out, only to wake up hours later with foam at his mouth. Since he was out there grinding alone in his makeshift garage gym, it’s a miracle he landed on his stomach, because if he hadn't, he might have actually choked on his own tongue.

Does anyone here have any insight into what could cause such a sudden loss of consciousness? Could we be looking at a heart attack? I’ve been scouring the internet, but I can't find much reliable information regarding the use of adrenaline-based supplements to push athletic performance. I have heard some stories about young UFC fighters using similar stuff before a big bout to make themselves harder to take down, but I would really value hearing from an actual expert on this.

It causes all sorts of dangerous arrhythmias... It's a good thing he made it through, otherwise some people might never wake up...

And what exactly are you looking for? Isn't the story you just told enough?

People pump themselves full of all sorts of junk before they hit the gym, and half the time it isn't even legal.

Besides, where are you even getting this adrenaline? Is a doctor writing you a prescription for it? If so, go ask them your questions and ask about the side effects. If not, then that's the end of the conversation on this forum.

The reason I’m asking is because I was sitting ringside at an amateur UFC fight recently and watched this kid take four direct knees to the head, yet he kept fighting with such reckless, terrifying heart that the referee literally had to physically yank him off his opponent. I heard later that he'd been given an adrenaline shot, which would explain that insane level of toughness. I'm fairly well-versed in the side effects of various substances, but I'm genuinely curious if any doctors have dealt with patients who abused this specific stuff and what kind of permanent damage they ended up suffering from.

What exactly do you think some random doctor on a Health subreddit is going to tell you? If you haven't been prescribed a specific treatment plan and aren't under direct medical supervision, there isn't much point in us even discussing this on this sub.

Yeah, abusing steroids, adrenaline, or anything similar can absolutely wreck your body. If someone wants to play fast and loose with their health, that's on them, but I know I wouldn't mess around with stuff like that. 🤷
