I could really use some help here...
I'm honestly pretty anxious about this...
So, about a year ago, I hooked up with a girl who was working as a guide on one of our group trips out West...
We ended up together for one night, and now I can't stop overthinking why she asked if I could take the condom off, claiming it was irritating her skin.
Is it actually possible for a condom to cause that kind of discomfort? I guess I don't have much experience with this stuff, so I'm looking for some clarity.
My main fear is that maybe she was trying to expose me to HIV...
But then, she ended up getting pregnant by her boyfriend and had a perfectly healthy baby.
I eventually reached out to her, and she told me straight up that she's HIV negative.
She basically asked if I was crazy for even bringing it up, saying she’s been tested twice during her pregnancy and everything came back totally clear.
She made it very clear there's no reason for me to worry because she's completely fine.
So, what's the verdict? Is there any actual reason for me to be spiraling over this?
Please let me know what you think as soon as you can.

You’ve barely known her for five minutes, you're acting totally reckless, and now you're freaking out? Honestly, just go see a doctor so you can finally get some peace of mind and sleep through the night!
Use your head—and I mean your actual brain here—not just your instincts. A condom is NON-NEGOTIABLE. That kind of "playing it safe" by not using one is a massive risk, and you seriously shouldn't ever put yourself in that position again.

They're telling me she's been tested twice and came back clean!
Should I actually be worried here?
I mean, I don't have any symptoms myself.

Look, if she actually went in for testing, that means she was SUSPICIOUS, and twice at that—hellooo!
I mean, I’m really not sure what else to tell you besides this: you're young, whatever happened, happened, just don't let it happen again!
Don't go burying your head in the sand like an ostrich, okay? Face the music. Don't sit there waiting for symptoms to kick in—GO SEE A DOCTOR!

You didn't quite catch my point; she didn't just decide to go out and test herself on a whim. She was actually tested while she was pregnant...
I suppose those are the standard screenings expectant mothers undergo, and in this case, it included an HIV test as well.

I'm freaking out a bit...
So, about a year ago, I hooked up with this girl who was a guide on one of our group trips. She was visiting from out of town...
We spent one night together, and now I'm spiraling because she asked if she could take the condom off. She claimed it was chafing her or something??????
Is it actually possible for a condom to be uncomfortable like that? I don't have much experience with this stuff, so please let me know???
Part of me is worried she was trying to expose me to HIV...
The thing is, she ended up getting pregnant by her boyfriend later and had a perfectly healthy baby!
I actually called her later and she told me straight up that she doesn't have HIV...
She basically asked if I was crazy for even bringing it up. She said since she's pregnant, she's already passed all the tests twice and is totally clean!
She told me there's zero reason to worry about me because she's completely fine and clear!
So, what's the verdict? Is there any actual reason for me to be stressed???
Please get back to me ASAP!

You definitely need to go get tested. Period.

Maybe she just wanted a baby from you? Do the math on how much time passed between your hookup and when that kid was born. Also, the whole "condom is chafing" excuse sounds pretty sketchy to me. I've never heard that used as an excuse to ditch protection before.

So, look, buddy, sleep tight, but seriously—watch who you’re rolling with!
And for your own sake, please, just use protection!
Don't fall for those old lines about "it feels better that way"—honestly, life is much sweeter
when you aren't worrying about every single bug out there, known or unknown. Just play it safe
while you still have the chance. Good luck!

She mentioned that condoms were uncomfortable for her, so she asked if I could hold back. I told her I could, and then she asked me to take it off...
She isn't lying; she actually seemed genuinely shocked when I asked if she had HIV. She was under the impression that I was the one who might have infected her...
What do you guys think about this???
She didn't seem like a high-risk person at all. She had been sleeping with her boyfriend multiple times before this, and that was pretty much it for her sexual history. Now she’s married to him, they have a kid, and everything seems perfectly fine with the child...

Look, if you've been stressing out for a whole year since the baby was born and she keeps telling you it's fine, just go get tested already. There’s really nothing else I can tell you besides that.
