The Movie 'Masters

Alright, let's settle this one too 🙂

So, I caught the premiere, and honestly? It was a total train wreck 🙂

I’m speechless. The movie is an absolute disaster. The acting has plummeted to the level of some cheap daytime soap opera. To make matters worse, they recycled the exact same cast from the last three or four movies—Butijer, Bogdanov... look, I don't have anything against them personally, but seeing the same faces over and over again is just nauseating at this point. It really drove home how disappointing this was... 😕 😕 😕

The whole thing looks like it was shot in three days on a shoestring budget of $6.75. What Matanić did in the editing room makes zero sense. The only saving grace was Areta's performance, and that's about it. Go ahead and see it if you want, but prepare to be disappointed. 🤷

P.S. — The overacting during the falls, those repetitive, tired jokes, the constant technical hiccups ruining the scenes... give me a break 😠

When I first saw the headline, I thought we were going to be discussing cinematic masters like Kubrick or Hitchcock. Then I realized this thread was about the movie *Masters*. Silly me. 🤣

Anyway, I'm skipping this one. Just like every other American film.

I mean, honestly, what else could you really expect from total amateurs and hacks like Matanić, Hribar, and Brešan? 👎

That movie was absolute garbage. I was literally fighting to stay awake because it was so boring...

To truth be told, I didn't even bother watching it, so I don't really have an opinion either way—though I heard it was pretty terrible.

Man, I was actually surprised. Great thread title using a flop emoji, by the way. 😁

After all those empty hype trailers, I was expecting our filmmakers to deliver something even remotely solid. Especially since Butijer is in it. I actually like the guy—I thought he might actually step up here. Not to mention hearing Matanić say that Butijer is the only one who could pull off playing baja 🤣🤣🤣... well, it was clearly a struggle for him. Good grief.

The whole comedy is just pathetic—trying to manufacture laughs out of one main character being clumsy. Okay, maybe that's mildly amusing the first time (if even then, since you can tell exactly where Bogdanov's street walk is heading immediately), but after that, people are basically just sitting in the theater laughing at how bad it is. The dialogue? Non-existent. There isn't even much of a plot. It feels like they were forced to make this thing. Like the director just grabbed some government grant money and decided to wander around the US aimlessly with a camera just so they wouldn't have to account for where the tax dollars went.

The only person I'll give a passing grade is the costume designer. Butijer's trashy shirts are top-tier. 🙏

I’ve never seen a movie more agonizingly dull in my entire life.
It isn't even a question of whether it's funny; it’s just pathetic how much effort it puts into being tedious.
