The Prestige

So I just finished watching it and honestly? It was pretty damn good. What’s the verdict from you guys? Having Edward Norton and Jessica Biel in the mix definitely makes it worth your time. Man, I’d love to see a sequel, though I guess it might be a little early to start dreaming about that just yet.

I just finished watching it myself. Honestly? It was incredible. Edward Norton is such a powerhouse actor, seriously top-tier.

I think it’s called The Prestige vs. The Illusionist, or something along those lines.

I was just falling down a Wikipedia rabbit hole and ended up on the page for *The Prestige*. It’s one of those movies that actually lives up to the hype, though I know some people find the pacing a bit heavy. It’s basically a masterclass in how to pull off a cinematic sleight of hand. If you haven't seen it, it’s about two rival magicians in turn-of-the-century New York, obsessed with outdoing each other. It’s dark, it’s moody, and honestly, it makes most modern magic movies look like cheap kid's birthday party tricks. The whole "how did they do it?" tension keeps you hooked until the very end. I remember watching this for the first time at a theater in Chicago with a friend, and we both just sat there in dead silence during the final ten minutes. We didn't even want to breathe because we were trying to piece the puzzle together. It’s definitely worth a rewatch if you want to see if you can spot the clues you missed the first time around.

I caught *The Prestige* last night, and man, I haven't seen anything that good in a long time. It’s one of those movies that completely pulls the rug out from under you—it really puts the audience through the ringer. Honestly, it's such a legendary film that it deserves its own dedicated thread. Have any of you guys seen it yet?

Honestly, the film was excellent—I'd give it a solid 8.5/10.
