Jeremy Lopez93 said:Seriously, what the hell are the Russians doing in Libya and Syria anyway?

And what's Putin's "Wagner group" doing in the Central African Republic? Setting up communal farms?

At the end of the day, do you actually want a Russian humanitarian center62 miles coming out of Washington, D.C.?

Aha, it’s getting uncomfortable for the apologists of those "Exceptionalists,"
the ones chosen to spread their values to the world,
so now we’re pivoting to whataboutism. 👍
It’s a good thing the world reacted roughly the same way
when Americans carried out baseless invasions and meddled
in the internal affairs of sovereign nations,
just as it is rightfully reacting to Russia now.
Maybe this war wouldn't have happened in the first place.

Since when did Turkey close off the Bosphorus? What kind of headline is this even supposed to be?

It’s quite fascinating to look at, especially since I seem to recall seeing a different map on the news yesterday that suggested Russia had secured a significantly larger amount of territory.

It looks like the Russians aren't even obsessed with holding ground; they just want a fast break straight to Kyiv. Even CNN and Fox News are reporting that they've practically surrounded the city already.

https://www.nytimes.com/news/ukraine-war-updates-15163143

"The goal for Russian forces is to encircle Kyiv. They’re using the same tactics they’re applying elsewhere in Ukraine. Basically, one of Russia's biggest priorities is avoiding street fighting in Ukrainian cities," explains military analyst Robert Barić to The New York Times.

What part of this isn't true? If you actually pay attention to what's happening, you'd see the reality—you've got footage of tanks rolling down the interstate wherever there's an airfield nearby because they just seized them, and don't even get me started on the radar stations; there's video evidence of all of them getting hammered.62 miles They’ve been pushing forward from Melitopol all day. So, maybe try facing the facts here, because you're gonna be in for a massive shock when Ukraine finally calls it quits and realizes they were losing the whole damn time.😵

I see you're back in the swing of things. Sounds like you're doing alright. 🙂

Smart move.

It feels pretty surreal posting on a forum I haven't even touched in ten years.

I actually got banned from BuzzFeed because I called Kadyrov's Chechens "Muslim trash." Apparently, they have a very strict definition of hate speech these days. 🤣

Anyone caught out on the streets is basically being flagged as an enemy combatant or a saboteur...

I just hope all those civilians who grabbed a gun but aren't part of an actual organized unit have cleared out. They're asking to get hit by their own side at this rate.

Word is a bunch of criminals grabbed weapons too, since you just had to show an ID to get one. And then when those same "civilians" end up getting shot, well, they'll just blame it on evil Russians again.

First off, once the bullets start flying, even the high commands of the warring nations struggle to figure out who is doing what to whom.
Furthermore, wartime information is censored, distorted, and—let's be honest—completely fabricated just to keep the opposition misled.

The end result is this absolute informational chaos where getting a clear picture of what is actually happening is nearly impossible.

As for civilians hanging around tanks? Honestly, people back home should know by now that you need a brutal education in war and pure hell to trigger survival mode and seek out shelters. Just because a declaration of war was made doesn't mean everyone instantly snaps into gear.
When things kicked off here, people clung to their normal routines, at least initially, while military operations were ramping up all around them.

That’s the difference between us and somewhere like the Middle East, where war is often the baseline and peace is just a brief intermission. People there act accordingly because, unfortunately, they've already been through the school of hard knocks when it comes to surviving combat.

Yeah, yeah, blah blah blah... you're just talking nonsense. 🙂 There's nothing to see because it's all fake news—this whole information war is just the sequel to the COVID-19 intro. Those weather balloons were just one example of how this works, like what happened in Bergamo with those bodies they used to scare everyone... the circus keeps rolling. Sure, the US/Russia conflict is playing out on the Ukraine training ground, but there's no actual destruction or civilian casualties. Even that guy who supposedly died twice once in Kabul and is now in Ukraine is basically serving as a useful idiot. At least nowadays you can actually verify info and connect the dots logically without relying on MSM media. I saw Ursula quoting a pre-packaged pile of sanctions last night, so only an idiot wouldn't see that this is all designed to "knock Russia out of the game" to redistribute power. From what I hear, the stuff being blown up are actually those American biological weapons labs scattered all over Ukraine (and if you look at the Kyiv webcams, everything looks perfectly peaceful), so how does that work? 🤔

Chechens in Kyiv. I guess those Ukrainians should've held their ground at the base in Gustumel... maybe.

ironranger67 said:Sure, they're definitely doing it out of pure humanitarian concern—not because a higher number of civilian casualties would just give Ukrainians even more reason to fight back tooth and nail. 🙂

And besides, the Ukrainians aren't going to run short on weapons the way we used to struggle with supplies back in the day.

Yeah, right. Like the Russians are actually scared. 🤣I honestly think Ukrainians don't stand a chance and should just surrender or let Russia take over already so this can end. They're just dragging out the misery at this point.

who visited the University of Chicago back in 2015, about a year and a half after Maidan.
He lays out a very clear, well-argued case
on why the West is actually responsible for what’s happening in Ukraine and explains exactly how everyone played their part.
It’s an easy watch. He breaks down all the necessary elements
needed to grasp the broader context
of the conflict and the competing interests in that part of Europe. If you know English, give it a look...

You forgot to mention that ketchup isn't to blame—nope, zero, everyone else is totally at fault instead..

crimsonwolf26 said:Honestly, it feels like Germans just swing from one extreme to the other. One minute they were looking to dominate all of Europe, and now they want to act like none of this affects them at all—as if they can just stay completely untouched by everything happening right in their backyard.🤣

It’s actually because of their history that Germany has it baked right into their Constitution—they aren't supposed to send troops abroad or sell weapons to war zones. There is a loophole, though, where they can do it if Parliament gives the green light. And yeah, we've seen exceptions before (like sending troops to Afghanistan, even if they didn't go to Iraq, and they have sold arms to conflict zones). But honestly, since the days of the USSR, every single one of their governments has been incredibly hesitant. It’s not easy to get a majority in Parliament to agree to that kind of stuff. A German Chancellor just doesn't have the same level of foreign policy muscle that an American or French president carries.
Then there's the whole issue of them being totally hooked on Russian gas. These sanctions are going to hit them almost as hard as they hit Russia. But let's not forget: Germany is a massive player in global trade and basically the engine driving growth for all of Europe and the US. If their economy tanks, we're all going down with them.

In all seriousness, Ukrainians are strange people. They'd rather die than become a Russian colony.

Oh, really? Is it the same thing as reading the New York Post or the Courier? The Courier is always gonna spin whatever serves their "influence" in the US—or in this case, Russia.

The other day they actually had the nerve to report that Ukraine attacked Russia. How much of a rat do you have to be to fall for that kind of stuff?

The Russians and Mexicans are absolute gods of propaganda. Even the Chinese can't touch them.

It’s honestly bizarre how they aren't seeing this more often. It seems like the Russians just pushed forward 62 miles without actually securing their comms or supply lines in that sector—it makes zero sense. If the Ukrainians could just tighten up their coordination a bit more, they could pull off some absolute miracles. I remember back when we were pushing through the frontier during the liberation efforts, our guys were obsessively making sure the tanks were topped off before moving an inch. You can't just wing it like that.
p.s.
I was lying awake last night thinking about where those Russian soldiers are even sleeping near Kyiv right now. It's freezing out there—well below zero—and they haven't even made it into the city yet! Next week looks cloudy, which isn't great for Russian air support, and then the weekend is hitting negative 7... that's brutal for infantry stuck out in the open.

By the way, the Chechens are just steamrolling everything in their path. From the photos, it looks like they’ve seen enough combat to know exactly what they're doing—they aren't some green rookies after 20 years of this...

If those politicians in Ukraine actually gave a damn about their people instead of just saving their own skin, they’d have ordered the white flag hours ago. They're surrounded on three sides and clearly running out of food supplies.

Yeah, right—better ask you! People fight for their freedom, and only cowards go reaching for the white flag...

What kind of dark whataboutism is that? What kind of spin are you pulling?

Putin is openly threatening his immediate neighbors with force. He's blackmailing half of Europe.

He’s a madman who has completely lost touch with reason and emotion.
An ego maniac who thinks he’s some sort of cyborg possessing the brain of Peter the Great and the appetite of Stalin.

Yes, acting preemptively before it's too late is necessary. If Putin senses any power or fearlessness from those he's threatening—he won't hesitate to do anything.

We are living through days where the world is splitting back into two distinct blocs. There is no such thing as being neutral anymore.

The Russians literally sent 10,000 criminals from Chechnya straight into the war...
