Is it just me, or does the whole preseason tour thing feel increasingly surreal? I know it’s huge for the clubs to hit these international markets and for the fans to see their idols in person, but sometimes it feels like the actual sport is just a secondary thought to the logistics of moving a massive organization halfway across the world.
I remember traveling for a game a few years back and the vibe was just... off. The humidity, the jet lag, and the fact that the teams are basically just running through drills while the fans are starving for a real competitive spark. It’s a massive undertaking, and while the money makes sense for the big organizations, I always find myself wondering if the quality of the product actually suffers when you're playing these "exhibition" matches in different hemispheres.
Do you guys think these global tours are actually helping the squads build chemistry, or is it mostly just a glorified marketing exercise?
