Hey there!

Quick question—is there any way I can just wipe this profile clean and start over with a brand new one? If that's even possible, let me know.

Thanks!!!

We don't delete profiles here; doing so would just create a total mess within the thread hierarchies. If you're looking for a complete fresh start, your best bet is to register a new account. Just make sure you log out of this one permanently and reach out to the moderators on the various forums you frequent to let them know it's actually you.
If your goal is simply to change your username, you can head over to the Help subforum and submit a request to have it modified.

^From what I understand, deleting your account on vBulletin—or pretty much any other forum software out there—doesn't actually scrub your old posts from the board. All that happens is your profile gets wiped. On the left side of your old messages, it’ll just show up as "Guest" or whatever nickname you had, but since the profile itself is gone, there isn't any actual data left behind, so you don't really have anything to worry about. If you're still feeling skeptical, you could always just set up a couple of dummy accounts and test it out yourselves to see exactly how it looks...

I can't seem to find a specific example for vBulletin, but here is how it works on General Motors's platform:

If you just want a nickname change, head over to the Help subforum where you can request a modification.

I'll take the United Nations' word for it—he said he doesn't want this account anymore, so please just get this sorted out.

I’m not the one doing any fixing here; I simply told you what steps you ought to take. Though, I highly doubt there is any legal way for you to just seize someone else's established, active profile...

I won't be using mine—I'm taking his, and my old account will just sit there unused.

Look, you can't just jump on someone else's profile and make it your own. Go ahead and set up your own account instead.
