My "Merry Christmas, everyone" thread on the religion board just vanished. I put a ton of work into that opening post—it was super long and detailed too. Now it’s just gone.
Look, if you guys can actually bring it back, then do it. I mean, the way they were targeting people on the forums was getting pretty personal, almost like it was coming from a religious angle or something. I guess it just felt a bit much.

Merry Christmas, I guess... though honestly, who even cares anymore? Everyone's just going around saying it to everyone else.
Look, instead of some pointless thread where everyone just shouts Merry Christmas into the void, I'm starting this one. If you want to wish someone a Merry Christmas, go ahead and pick a target. They can actually respond if they feel like it, or they can just ignore you. It’s up to them, I guess.
I think that’s actually way closer to the true spirit of Christmas than just those dry, hollow greetings people toss around. Honestly, those empty wishes feel almost sinful—kind of like when someone just wastes themselves on something meaningless, where all that energy just goes nowhere and ends up being a total waste of life.
I actually thought of this when I realized I really didn't feel like typing out "Merry Christmas to you all" over on that other thread.
It’s almost like I’m wishing my computer monitor a Merry Christmas or something...
Maybe we could actually do something to bring some Christmas spirit back to this place. I don't know, maybe spice things up a bit? We could start sending out holiday greetings that include a little extra something—like a quick note to the person you're wishing well, telling them exactly what you hope to see from them right here on the forum next year. Just a thought, I guess.

What I really want for you this Christmas—or maybe just by next year—is that you finally find some satisfying answers regarding that whole "controversy of grace" thing. It would be great if you could actually get on board with the Catholic Church's teachings, both here on the forum and out in the real world.
