Thread locked for no reason?

Can I get an explanation from an admin as to why this thread was locked?

Which rule did I even break? I read them all... how does one moderator just decide they have the right to shut down a whole discussion just because they think it’s "stupid"?
And this is in the "fringe science" subforum, where apparently we could just label every single topic as stupid if we felt like it...

I want a straight answer: which topics are considered "stupid" and which ones aren't?

Honestly, I don't see any point in keeping this thing open either. It’s basically just a mountain of random posts—mostly just pointless chatter, really—all written by some clone of a user who's already been banned anyway.
I'm with the moderator on this one, so yeah, lock it up.

I believe we should consider this topic closed to prevent it from devolving into a typical shouting match filled with forced emojis or irrelevant links.

If participants choose to ignore actual arguments while instead accusing one another of bad faith, then there is simply no point in continuing the discussion. Although I feel I owe a response to the user who was banned, I won’t be providing it here.

Sorry wiredviper19, but this thread was poorly managed, which is exactly why it had to be shut down.

I have nothing against these kinds of discussions, but I’ll say it again: there has to be a certain standard of discourse to keep a thread alive. Especially when dealing with these, shall we say, "slippery" theories...

I mean, I feel like we’ve pretty much covered everything here, so there's no point in dragging this out forever, I guess. 🙂
