If they aren't actually that tiny, you should definitely try breaking them in properly! You could even grab one of those leather softening sprays—you know, the kind meant for the shoe itself rather than your feet😬—so once the material relaxes, they’ll feel way more comfortable. I can't recall the exact name, but honestly, just ask around at some high-end shoe boutiques or maybe hit up a big mall like Mall of America
.
Ugh, I totally feel your pain, haha! I once went out and bought these incredibly fancy Adidas sneakers in a size 9, even though I'm usually a 7. Needless to say, the last time I actually wore them was during the fitting at the store. But hey, at least they look great sitting in my closet where I can admire them whenever I want!😍

I mean, props to you if they’re a steal or have an amazing design, but I only buy shoes I actually plan on wearing. If I'm going to wear them, they have to fit properly.

Just because I fall in love with a pair doesn't mean I should buy them if my size isn't available. That's just not how it works for me. 👎

Yeah, I feel the same way. It makes no sense. They get excited, buy them, and then just create problems for themselves. In the end, those shoes just sit in a box at home gathering dust...

The whole thing is because they were literally the last ones left in stock, and oh my gosh, I was just so obsessed with them! Plus, considering how nice the quality feels, the price was such a steal, I couldn't pass them up 😬

I’ve heard all sorts of weird DIY hacks floating around online, like soaking them in milk, stuffing them with newspaper and tossing them in the freezer, or maybe some crazy combo of both, you know how it goes 😁

Does anyone out there have any actual advice on how to STRETCH shoes? Because honestly, I think the length might actually be fine if I can just somehow manage to cram my foot into them in the first place 😳 Just to give you some context, they’re basically like ballet flats—totally flat soles—but instead of having that rounded toe, they have a pointed toe 😳

Is that how you pick out guys too? Just based on what's left on the shelf?
👍

Oh my God, I mean, if I don't find them attractive, then what am I even doing here? Even if they are a couple of sizes too small... jeez!

Look, I'm carrying a size 6, so if you want to borrow two sizes from me, they should fit you perfectly.

Just buy them already, so you can show off to your friends.

Good grief, you guys really went after her! The topic was how to size up a shoe—not taking shots at me because I bought them too small.

Honestly, I probably would have done the exact same thing; it was such a solid deal 😁that in the end, you can just gift them to someone else or, like you said, give them to Mom🙂.

If they’re leather, you can just take them to a local cobbler—they’ve got those stretching machines and can get it sorted in no time... my dad actually did that once with his favorite pair, and now they fit him perfectly.

Maybe try picking up a decent size next time! I mean, I've heard stories, but I can't believe someone actually buys two pairs of shoes that are way too small 🤣 🤣 🤣

Well, the title pretty much says it all: my shoes are absolutely killing me. They're high heels with an open toe design, and that's exactly where the friction is hitting—right at the toes. The size is actually spot on, so it's not even an issue of them being too tight... just constant irritation. Does anyone have any actual advice for dealing with this pain?

Thanks

These shoes are killing me... and I actually have to go out dancing 🎉

Sorry 🙂 I really had to

Uhm... I have no clue... are they leather? Maybe try rubbing some kind of cream on them—just some basic Nivea or Vaseline or something... just to soften them up a bit 😕
That’s what I did... and it worked much better 😬

That’s exactly why I titled the thread 🙂 . I haven't tried using the cream yet; I'll give it a shot once I get home from work. Thanks for the tip. If anyone else has some advice, feel free to chime in...

Classic move from my mom: soak an old rag in fabric softener and leave it inside a sneaker overnight. Worked like a charm for me.

You can find leather softening sprays at any of those shoe retailers... they're actually quite effective 🙂

Maybe you could just drop them off at the cobbler and let them sit on a shoe tree for a few days to stretch them out... I know from my own experience that it works......

Personally, I’ll just soak a thicker sock in some alkohol and walk around the house for a bit, or sometimes I just let them sit on my feet. It’s easily the fastest and most effortless method I've found! However, I wouldn't recommend doing this with anything made from super synthetic materials, because the alkohol can actually eat away at the dye and damage the fabric itself.

It’s the exact same situation over here! And get this—I only bought them two or three hours ago! Can you believe that?😠

I have heard that applying some Vaseline works wonders, though at this very moment, I have gone ahead and used soap instead... isn't that curious? I also heard that it acts as a softener. Is that true? Does it actually work?
Well, let's see if this actually works!😁

That was exactly what my mom used to do whenever my sneakers started giving me trouble.
Man, 😲 I remember being so grossed out by it back then; I always had to spray my shoes with some kind of fragrance just so they wouldn't smell like booze (for me, we were talking about vodka 😬 😬).
But I have to admit, it really did work.😉
