War Veterans

I wonder how many veterans visit this forum to swap stories about health issues following their service in America? From what I can see, it feels like our community has lost a bit of that old spark—that sense of shared strength we had back when we were healthy and truly stood together before illness set in.

Hey there! I'm a retired veteran too—has anyone else here been called back for those trauma-related psychological re-evaluations?

Look, I’m no damn veteran!☕
I only put in about 7.5 years in the service—if you count from when they actually drafted me on September 1st, 1991, because before that, I was basically just playing cowboy.😂

No.
A while back, I unfortunately ran into an issue where they placed a one-year restriction on my driver's license. And then comes the endless cycle... you pay for the medical exam, you pass, and then you just keep doing it over and over again.
To make matters worse, there is also a restriction on carrying both short and long firearms.
There are certain perks available, too—things I don't even bother using, like a notary public or various school benefits for children, though I couldn't tell you much more about them.

But really, why would you ever need to repeat a psychological evaluation for trauma?

I ended up walking out on them! They played me like a fool—so back in 2009, I just called it quits and retired. Now my pension is split up—70 percent military and 30 percent civilian—but honestly, that guy Taborski was the one who really stuck it to me.

A friend of mine just hit his three-year mark for Social Security eligibility—and out of nowhere, he gets this official notice? Now they’re demanding he redo some psychological testing at the Mayo Clinic and even spend time in the ER just to "verify" his disability status. It came straight from the disability office, so I can't really step in to help him out. Does anyone have any insight here—could this be a total scam, or is it actually legitimate?
