Hey everyone! I’m honestly not even sure if this is the right spot for this question, so if I’ve totally missed the mark and am posting in the wrong category, mods—please just give me a heads-up instead of coming for me...
- So, does anyone know where I can actually track down a chocolate fountain?? Like, who even handles those kinds of setups?? And what are we talking about price-wise—is it gonna break the bank? 🤷
Thanks a bunch....

27 - I know they don't usually offer that for catering in a place like Chicago... you might want to reach out to one of those high-end catering companies in your neck of the woods instead.

So, a few days back, I was scrolling through that thread where everyone’s venting about "how much your wedding actually costs"—you know, the one where people realize they're basically hemorrhaging money for a single night—and this girl mentions they had a full-on chocolate fountain at their reception. Naturally, I had to ask where on earth they found that, because let's be real, that's some high-tier party stuff. Here's the link if you want to see the madness

27 - I’ve looked into chocolate fountains at several different places; usually, you can only find them at high-end chocolatiers or large dessert boutiques.
Hershey has one, though I'm not sure about the exact cost, and there's also one located Downtown in that specialty chocolate shop, but expect to pay around $550.
Since I eventually gave up on trying to find a permanent fountain, my husband went on a bit of a hunt and tracked down a guy who rents them out for $100. He handles the delivery and pickup, though you are required to purchase the chocolate directly from him.
Our total comes out to $100 + 2 kg of milk chocolate = $207.
If you need any more specifics or his contact info, just let me know—I'm happy to help.
Best,

Best,
It might be a rather trivial question, but what is the actual purpose of a chocolate fountain? 🤷
The melted chocolate flows continuously, but is it intended to be consumed, or is it merely a visual centerpiece?

In the lobby just outside the ballroom entrance, the servers will be handing out appetizers. We’ll also have a station set up there featuring a chocolate fountain paired with an assortment of fresh fruit—think strawberries and grapes. It’s a simple setup: guests grab an appetizer and can immediately dip some fruit into the chocolate. To keep things organized, the fountain will only run for about an hour while everyone is making their way into the main hall.
I actually attended a wedding once where they had a chocolate fountain, and people were absolutely obsessed with the chocolate-covered strawberries. That’s where I got the idea.

Successes, failures, everything in between—what have you all been paying for wedding cakes and where did you get them? I’ve been scrolling through old threads, but I can't find anything super specific. We need a cake for 250 guests, and I checked with one bakery earlier only to be told it would cost $1833, which honestly feels like way too much to me.
