Did Srica say a lockdown was our only choice? YES.

Did Joe Biden say he brought God back just so they could roll out even stricter rules? YES.

So, honestly—where's the trolling?

Is all this talk about facts—well, my subjective take on them—suddenly an issue?

Since when is it against the rules to STATE THE FACTS, and then actually write out how those facts make a person feel?

I’m looking for one reasonable explanation here—unless we’ve just got another moderator handing out bans while pretending it's "trolling."

Look, I’m not saying you’re just trolling me here, but honestly, every single day when this topic about COVID-19 comes up, there is just an overwhelming flood of troll posts everywhere. If all of this is truly just your "subjective perception" of what's happening, then maybe it might be a good idea to dial it back just a little bit, don't you think? Is there anything more fascinating than the sheer weight of a subjective experience? I often find myself wondering how much of what we call "reality" is actually just a collection of our own unique, internal perceptions. It’s such a wild thought, isn't it? We all walk around moving through the exact same world, yet no two people are ever truly seeing the same thing at the same time. Every single one of us is filtering life through this incredibly complex, deeply personal lens shaped by our memories, our moods, and our individual biases. Doesn't that make everything we encounter—every conversation, every sunset, every minor frustration—feel infinitely more layered? It makes me curious to know how much of our daily lives is driven by these quiet, invisible interpretations that only we can feel..

Look, you really need to make a choice here: either dial back on the trolling, or prepare to see a lot more moderation strikes hitting your account.

It’s not even about whether this specific post is trolling—it's just that you flood the same thread about COVID-19 with troll posts every single day. If all this is just your "subjective experience," then maybe dial down the
subjectivity
a bit.

Ah, the classic moderator move—“contributing to the community” 🤣

There’s an entire subforum dedicated to serious COVID-19 discussion and analysis, yet somehow it’s never enough for you guys.
Did it ever cross your minds to let this politics thread be a place where people can just vent their daily frustrations?
Why are you acting like such hall monitors?
How many threads are in the COVID-19 subforum?
A ton.
But sure, let's go ahead and try to enforce strict rules on this one lonely thread where people come to blow off steam—bravo, zero tact on your part :s

One more thing since you're already here—what if you guys actually coordinated? It's been made clear by various mods (Charles Fox10 comes to mind first) that insulting politicians and public figures is allowed, unlike insulting other users.

And then this happens:

edit: realized you guys deleted the post in the meantime, so here’s a screenshot:

So some guy gets 50 points for trolling AND insults, seriously? 🤣

And if I said anything now, I'd probably get banned for "attacking the moderation"—you guys are something else :s

A ton.

One more thing since you're already here—what if you guys actually coordinated? Multiple mods—Charles Fox10 comes to mind first—have made it clear that roasting politicians or public figures is fine, unlike attacking other users.

And then this happens:

And this guy gets 50 points for trolling and straight-up INSULTING someone? Seriously? 🤣

Meanwhile, if I said anything, I'd get a strike for "attacking the moderation"—you guys are too much. :s

Did it ever cross your minds to let this political thread serve as a little pressure valve where people can just vent their daily frustrations?
Why are you all acting like such absolute bullies?
How many threads are currently sitting in the COVID-19 sub-forum?
A mountain of them.
But sure, let's try to enforce strict rules even here, in this lonely little corner where people just want to blow off steam—bravo, you really have zero sense of tact, don't you? :s

One more thing since we're already talking about it: wouldn't it be great if you guys actually sat down and agreed on some consistency? It’s been made clear multiple times by various moderators—Charles Fox10 comes to mind first—that insulting politicians and public figures is perfectly fine, unlike insulting other users.

And then this happens:

Edit: I see you've gone ahead and deleted the post in the meantime, so here is a screenshot for you:

And this guy gets slapped with 50 points for trolling and INSULTING someone? Are you for real? 🤣

Yet, if I were to say anything right now, I'd probably get a strike just for questioning the moderation, wouldn't I? You guys are really something else :s

So, you're looking for a "heavier" penalty for insults (one that sticks longer), rather than just those 25 points for trolling which you seem to think is "too vague"? Fine by me. For the post you mentioned, you could have easily handed out a much higher penalty.

Are we supposed to leave the COVID-19 topic in Politics specifically for "venting daily frustrations"?? Where on earth did you get that idea from? You must have completely misunderstood the situation.

And regarding your little defense of another user—you're telling me that isn't considered trolling or an insult? Seriously? Do you actually have any proof for that claim?

Should we just leave the COVID-19 threads here for "daily venting sessions"? Where'd you get that idea? You clearly missed the point.

And as for you playing lawyer for another user—you don't think that counts as trolling or harassment? Seriously? Got any actual proof?

Proof for what?
don't get it—it's all right there in the text and the screenshot attached

The guy insulted Dick and got slapped with 50 points, partly because of the insult itself

So it wasn't about a fellow user, it was about a public figure—and on this site, you NEVER get penalized for that. If you need me to walk you through how moderation works, feel free to ask someone else, but it's fine to mess up once—it's when you keep being dense like this that it becomes an issue.

Let's get Charles Fox10 to chime in here—he can confirm I've never actually said this stuff about public figures out loud before. :zubo:

Morgan Booth70 said:Maybe our moderator Charles Fox10 should weigh in here and confirm that he’s never actually gone on the record regarding my comments about public figures, right? 😔

First off, don't sweat it—Charles Fox10 is already fully aware of the situation, and I truly believe he'll be more than happy to give you a proper answer when the time comes.

Secondly, since you've decided to step up and play lawyer for your buddy, don't you think you've completely flipped the script on us? You're acting like there's some double standard, but if we just look at his history of cartoonish posts where he snaps at other members with things like "why are you even chiming in?" or "what are you even babbling about?", it becomes pretty obvious. Isn't it enough to just review the reasons behind his previous warnings and bans? Are those other forum members suddenly considered high-profile public figures now too?

Fortunately, all the moderators have full access to everything—every deleted post, every warning issued, the specific reasoning behind them, and all those other little details. Cheers!

Secondly, since you've suddenly decided to play defense attorney for our buddy here, you're kind of missing the point—when he's dropping lines like "why are you even talking?" or "what are you rambling about?" to other people on here with those goofy posts of his... well, if you look at why he actually gets banned, it’s because of that exact kind of rhetoric. Are all these other users public figures too? Or just regular people?

Luckily for us, the mods can see everything—all the deleted posts, the bans, the reasons behind them, and all that juicy stuff. Cheers!

Calling someone a rambling idiot is totally fine then, right? 🤣

Classic hair-splitting—but hey, if it makes you feel better, go for it. :cerek:

Regarding the question in the title, this is just trolling.
and once I finally catch up to you animals, I can do whatever I want—violate your wives, wipe out your lineage, slap the elderly, because you're all mindless cattle. But hey, here comes God, don't worry, I've already worked everything out with COVID-19.

regardless of what you actually meant.

My response to this:
It’s been made clear multiple times by various moderators (Charles Fox10 comes to mind first) that insulting politicians and public figures is allowed, unlike insulting forum members.

That isn't accurate. The stance is that they have to endure a bit more than us regular folks, as the Supreme Court has ruled, but we've emphasized that we won't tolerate pointless insults against anyone solely for the sake of being insulting.
Has it not occurred to you to leave this politics thread for venting the frustrations that build up on a daily basis?

No, it hasn't, and we certainly won't. Everyone posting here knows we aren't particularly quick to hand out warnings; we tend to delete things ourselves much more often.

Since you’ve spent your appeals lecturing others about their warnings and commenting on their bans, here is one just for you: that warning was valid, as was yours. To avoid any future misunderstandings, other people's warnings and bans are none of your concern.

See you when your ban expires. This might be a permanent lock.

Charles Fox10 said:Your take on this is totally off. The bottom line is they have to deal with a bit more heat than us regular folks—the Supreme Court actually backed that up—but we’re making it clear we won't tolerate pointless insults just for the sake of being jerks.

You're lying and you know it—saying "deal with a bit more heat"? lol

Aren't you embarrassed to even phrase it like that? :s

Charles Fox10 said:Since you love playing hall monitor and nitpicking everyone else's posts, here's a reality check: that ban is valid, just like yours. And just so we're clear on avoiding future drama—other people's bans aren't your business.

It’s like I wrote this myself, except instead of Joe Biden, it's Plenković in the mix. Let's see how this plays out—my bet is no ban, the post gets nuked, and the mods just hide their incompetence. No integrity here. :cerek:
