man 😢 my ass hurts, my stomach is killing me, and I’ve been straining like an idiot for half an hour now... I’m honestly terrified I’m gonna mess something up if I keep going, but if it doesn't happen, it just doesn't happen 😢😢😠

and now I’m low-key worried that all this straining is doing the same damage as actually pushing too hard, and like, is that dangerous? 😢

Man, I totally get that... honestly, that's exactly what keeps me up at night too because I've dealt with that whole constipation thing maybe two or three times now and let me tell you, it is absolutely terrifying when you're actually sitting there trying to go and you just know it’s going to be a total disaster. 🙄

I haven't dealt with constipation yet, though my partner already gave me a heads-up not to strain too hard when I'm on the toilet 🙄

If things do get backed up, his grandmother has this specific herbal tea she swears by for getting things moving, so I might just stick to that 🤷

My friend was talking to her OB-GYN, and they told her absolutely no straining or pushing if she's dealing with hard stools—apparently, you don't want to risk triggering early labor. Thank God I haven't run into any of those issues so far...

I haven’t experienced any cramping at all; I go a few times a day, which is honestly getting on my nerves enough.
I even had a moment of panic the other day, wondering if this was a sign that labor was imminent. I’ve heard stories about women experiencing this kind of "natural cleansing" just a day or two before they actually go into labor.

Well, if that were the case, I should've gone into labor ages ago.🤣 I’m the exact opposite—I'm hitting the bathroom multiple times a day. These iron supplements are absolutely wrecking my system, especially now that they bumped up my dosage near the end.

My OBGYN only sent me for blood work once at the very beginning, which seems rather odd.😕
Since I’m feeling fine, I assume my iron levels are likely within the normal range.

Ugh, I’m only about 27 weeks along... way too early for me to be risking anything at this stage 😲😢

I’ve been doing a lot of heavy lifting lately—my body feels all tight and closed up, which is fine, I guess—but now I’m low-key freaking out that I might have messed something up 🤷 I mean, I am getting some contractions, but I think they’re just Braxton Hicks... you know, like my stomach just tightens up for a second, gets hard, hurts a little bit... but that can't actually lead to real labor or dilation, right? Or can it..? 🤷😢

Man, I am totally spiraling right now, and it's all because of this damn constipation that just won't quit 😳🙈 😢

Have you looked into any natural options yet? Magnesium is quite effective, and you can easily find fig and prune syrups at places like CVS or Walgreens. 👍
Just stay away from any herbal teas that contain senna plants.

Man, I’ve had blood drawn like three times by the OB side, and at least twenty more times for everything else during pregnancy😛 I'm basically covered in needle marks at this point. A couple times mid-pregnancy I felt like crap, passed out twice, and don't even ask how many dizzy spells I had. Had to get blood work done because my whole CBC was trashed—red blood cell count tanked and my iron was so low I've been chugging supplements for months now

I’m on magnesium every single day, plus iron, my prenatal, folic acid, and Vitamin C... I've also been snacking on some oranges and even had a Nesquik this morning. Usually coffee doesn't even touch me, but I haven't really had a cup in months, so... fingers crossed for a little Christmas miracle...🤣😢

As for me, I eventually found some relief using a blood-strengthening syrup, though the constant straining from the various medications left me with a rather unwelcome little "holiday gift" to deal with... yes, hemorrhoids🤣🤣

Look, I just knock back a Nescafe on an empty stomach every morning. It's a habit from way before I was pregnant, and honestly, it almost always sends me running for the bathroom. Almost always, right? Sometimes it doesn't even work. But apparently, instant coffee has decent fiber content, so I mix half a teaspoon of caffeinated stuff with a spoonful of decaf—just so I don't overdo the caffeine intake—and now, besides the taste, I basically use it as medicine.
And I take magnesium too, though I haven't really noticed much of a laxative effect from it myself.

Digestion isn't usually an issue for me, though things have started acting up since I put on some weight. But honestly, beans are my absolute trigger. If I cook them for lunch, I’m heading straight to the bathroom by tonight. Trust me, if you need to get things moving, stick to corn or kidney beans. It works every time.

For me, a morning coffee paired with some orange juice worked wonders 🙂

🙂 🙂 🙂

I've struggled with constipation forever, and nothing I eat seems to really help... 😳👎 but after dealing with this for the last seven years, I've basically had to strain so hard that my abdominal muscles are constantly tight and tense. Now that I'm pregnant, I'm actually terrified of straining like that... what if I accidentally cause some kind of issue down there? 👎 I've been avoiding coffee during the pregnancy because of the caffeine, but I think I might finally pick up some decaf just for those emergency moments when I really need it. 🤣

😁 Huge win! Honestly, I spent a few days feeling just as clueless and tense as you were, constantly worrying if it was something serious—you know, like that whole "cervical displacement" thing my doctor keeps bringing up. 🤷
But hey, not anymore!
There was actually one moment where I was so desperate to make the discomfort stop that I seriously considered lighting a cigarette next to my morning Starbucks just to force the urge away, but I didn't. 😁
Anyway, now we can finally actually enjoy the holidays! 😉

I am just feeling so incredibly frustrated with my husband right now 🙄, honestly, I can barely even look at him... 😠
I feel like if I could just sign the divorce papers this very second, I would do it in a heartbeat ☕

Everything is just getting on my nerves lately... ugh...
Before I went sober, I used to enjoy a few 🙂
Now, my whole outlook has flipped 180 degrees. It doesn't bother me personally, but I honestly wish the same thing would happen to everyone else. I wish everybody was pregnant!!!
I feel like such a party pooper now, constantly nitpicking everything. It's Christmas, my dear would be out celebrating and calling people... while I just want to curl up on the couch and watch a movie...
ugh...

It really gets under my skin when neighbors start making those primitive comments... like, "Oh, when are you getting married? A baby's coming in a few months..." As if they actually care whether I decide to tie the knot or not. It’s my life, not theirs... Then there's the poking at my stomach. Like, hellooo? Please don't touch me... And the absolute dumbest part is when they ask about giving away the dog because a baby is on the way. Some people are just so clueless...
