Where are all the emojis?

Everything was working perfectly yesterday, then I started messing around with the settings and now my emojis have vanished from my posts. And honestly, I actually miss them (clearly I missed out on this stuff growing up).
Could someone please walk a total newbie through this? Like, a step-by-step guide for the less tech-savvy among us...

Just realized I can actually click on the rule of thumb regarding emojis 👏
They used to be right there on the right side of my screen while I was typing.
How do I get them back?😕

Do you have permission to view images? There should be an option for that somewhere near the middle of the page..

Finally found my lost 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
I realized I had basic editor selected at the bottom of the options page, which is why they vanished.
Switched back to standard editor and thank God 🙏 the toolbar finally popped up where I'm typing, and my emojis are staring back at me again
